Just a question to the community since xbox wont ever respond to me.

So, a couple months or so ago, my primary account on xbox live was permabanned. Reason: Harassment or something of the sort.

Problem. I haven't been able to regularly play xbox up until last month. Before, for quite a few months, I've just been way too busy with stuff in life to jump on. Now I know it has to take a quite a bit of temp bans to get perma banned, yet I was only aware
of 2 bans, both of which I attempted to appeal and was turned down.

The "best" part is, is the fact that I had gotten permabanned while I wasn't even home (I was out for over a month, actually). I got home 2 days after the initial ban. Tried to sign in and seen the big red banhammer. Now see, I wouldn't have had a big problem
with this, because I could just make a new account and get live and play casual like I always do, but that's not the case.

I've put HUNDREDS of dollars worth of digital games and DLC purchases through xbox live store, ALL of which has been permanently taken away.

After doing extensive searching as to how I got banned and asking around, someone finally came clean. It just so happened to be my ex's little brother (14 years old). After he told me some stuff, my ex told me what happened.

My girlfriend of 3 1/2 years broke up with me while I was out of town a while before this incident, and it turns out, while she was taking all of her stuff from my place, she found the paper that I have some of my login information on that was hidden in
a place she had no business being in (a file cabinet that I have a few things in, she has nothing in said cabinet, aka she was just snooping through all of my stuff before she left officially I by the sounds of it. Also meaning it wasn't just laying around
and was being well "protected"). She found that and knew her little brother didn't have live, and she knew I did, so she wrote my login down since she knew I didn't play all too often and let him have free reign on my account.

The kid then told me the rest of the story, saying how it's because "he would get mad at people when he played call of duty and battlefield and stuff, so he would send them messages (well in the category of harassment) and then delete them so I wouldn't
see that he was on my account". Like, all of these temp bans that my account have gotten had been given and expired before I would even get on to play something, so I didn't even know about them.

The Code of Conduct says for the category of protecting your log-in: "Fail to protect your account, devices, and personal information (e.g., lend your credentials, post your private information publicly, fail to supervise your devices) goes against the code
    of conduct."

So does that count? Because it seriously shouldn't.

The enforcement team has this on the front page:

    Compassion
The policy is our guide. We must do what is right, not always just what is written. Context matters.

If this is true, then I should NOT have been permabanned. If anything, I deserve a "second chance" *rolls eyes" to prove that won't happen anymore. I've already changed log-in credentials and I play casual, I don't get mad at people over a freaking game,
I mean, c'mon. Even if I get annoyed, I don't send hateful messages, that's just immature.

So..... now that Xbox has legally stolen $500+ in digital content, does anyone have an opinion? I really don't wanna have to spend all that money just to play the games that I love again.

    :)

  3. Wrongful Suspension

My account was suspended a few weeks ago for cheating. I had joined a Black Ops 2 lobby that happened to be modded, once I had realized that it was modded I reported the host then left. The next day I was banned for cheating. Please help and remove the mark
on my account so I can get back in the insider hub.

Fact of the matter is that you failed to properly ensure the security of your account and the person(s) that gained access are the ones that did you the harm. Xbox did not steal anything, however you do have legal options you can take against those that
gained access to your property without your permission.

  5. So you're telling me (and the whole community) that in order to be completely able to keep your account from Xbox's fury, you have to make sure your log-in information is locked up behind a vault with a handprint scanner and double key.

I had my stuff LOCKED in a file cabinet. What else am I supposed to do? Put an armed guard in front of it to make sure nobody gets in? You are more proof to show that the enforcement team doesn't do what they say they do *see the compassion quote*

The old 'someone else used my account' excuse.

You aren't the first and you won’t be last to come on here with a fabricated story claiming it wasn't your fault.

Even if you are telling the truth, the fact remains you are responsible for whoever is using your account.

If you can't learn to accept it, stop playing, stop complaining and move on with your life.
