Wrong release date on destiny 2 base game

I have purchased the digital deluxe edition of destiny 2. The game is due to be released on the 6th. When I click on the destiny 2 base game that comes with the digital deluxe edition, it says it will be released on the 20th. This is wrong and I am worrying
that when I load the game on the 6th, it won't work.

Destiny 2 wrong launch date

I received a press review code from Activision for the base Destiny 2 game, I downloaded it and i can't play due to the wrong release date on the store. Now i need to do the review, and i cannot wait two weeks for an error, for obvious reasons, there is
any way to fix this?

Destiny 2 wont load

Destiny 2 says im too early to play, even though I bought the expansion bundle.

It then goes to the base game in the store and tells me the release date will be the 19th.

WTH?

 

The date you're seeing is a glitch. The game will release at 12 am EST on Sept. 6.

 

I spoke to xbox live chat about this and they stated that the base game is released on the 20th (which we know is wrong as the game is released on the 6th). So which one is right? You or xbox live support? I'm siding with you, because we know it has a release
date of the 6th, so why would xbox live chat say otherwise? Very confusing.

 

It will be an EPIC Problem if for some reason this game isn't available to be played at midnight on the 6th. Like out of all the releases there is glitch on Destiny 2. Like how does that even happen. All I have to say is that if there is any issues come
midnight tomorrow be ready to issue massive refunds and get ready for lawsuits as well as BBB complaints. To say people will be upset will be an understatement. Also if its a glitch why haven't it been corrected yet?!

 

I completely agree with you on this. If the only thing that is wrong is that the text of the date is incorrect then everything will be fine. But if the store is coded to not allow players in until the 20th of September then Xbox will have set it self up
to anger a multitude of players. I have tried contacting their support and only found that they have "the proper department looking into it". I know i will personally be very upset if this is microsoft's fault and they are not wanting to admit it and thousands
of other players will be furious.

 

I believe they meant the base game being available for purchase as a stand alone title not bundled with anything else. Currently the base game can only be purchased as part of a bundle. As a whole, the game will be available to play on the date I mentioned.

Awesome Tom, now don't be confused eh. Like I said, we are working on this typo on the base game. But then again. All of the destiny 2 games, whether base game, or bundle, must be released on September 6th.

and confirmed that it is a minor glitch.

 

Is it fixed? It is released here in Australia in 1 hour and 40 mins. Hoping it is fixed by then, or the game will just load.

 

I'm expecting once it'**** your release date load the game and it should load as normal regardless of the 20th September text

 

I'm in New Zealand, and i'm unable to play because of this, i got the digital deluxe edition and it says the game launches 20/09/17, i try to play and it show me a message saying you're too early, check release date on xbox store

 

So i live in South Korea, and i purchased the Deluxe. I have it downloaded and after 12am I should have had access to the game. However xbox loads a screen saying I am too early and won't allow the game to open. So when I open the store app it shows 9/19
at 11pm. So what you see may cause it not to open on the xbox. I have been on hold with chat for quite a while to resolve this.
