Wrong region with Xbox One gift codes, and $5 minecraft

Alright, to start off I have around $25 worth of USA Xbox gift codes. Thing is, I'm Canadian and cannot redeem these codes. I wanted to buy Minecraft for $5 (Since I bought it on the 360, it offers it to me for $5) but if I made a new American account to
use the codes, I wouldn't get the discount. Anything I can do about this? Or am I just *** and the codes are pretty much useless to me? I searched it up but I can't find a website to trade them around :C

Wrong region with gift code

a code came to my Xbox One console today for 5$ USD, however im in Turkey and cannot use this code or redeem it to my account. I would also ask what steps do I need to take to have the code replaced

Yeah, you cannot use those American Dollar codes on your Canadian account. You would need to get Candian Dollar currency codes and then they would work as intended, and there's not much else that can be done unfortunately.

You cant. Your friend will have to request a refund for the code and purchase a code for you that is meant for your region. The region of the code must match the region of your account.

In your case, both the region of your account and the region in which you live are The Bahamas. Therefore, the gift code should work.

However, I have checked that The Bahamas is not a supported region for purchasing Xbox games or subscriptions. This means that it is not possible to redeem a Minecraft gift code in this region.

The only solution I have for you is to contact the seller of the code to request a refund.

OK, that didn't work. She redeemed the gift code then saw it was for the wrong Minecraft.
