wrong region error code 0x80a40401

Hi

how can i know if my region is under EMBARGO or not and if so what is the solution???

I did all the methods above and non of them were useful. And in the last method the same error ( 0x80a40401 ) prevented me from re-downloading my account

the full error : " You appear to be in a region where this service is not available. (0x80a40401) "

i have same problem ....about near 2 month this problem has began and xbox support doesn't anything!

As stated above, Xbox live is not supported in every region. You can view all supported regions here :
Xbox Live Countries and Regions.

Some services? Are you kidding me? I can't even sign in to my account. All you guys at Microsoft care about is money and nothing else. We bought this device even though 99% of other gamers buy Play Stations. When we bought it our country was included in
the "regions" you "supported". But wait a minute, let's [Mod Removed – Profanity] the only 1% of gamers who buy our
[Mod Removed – Profanity] console that has no good exclusives. I was an Xbox fan growing up but sorry not sorry I'm not anymore cause you don't give a
[Mod Removed – Profanity] about us. All you want is more money. And what does XBF stand for? Xbox family? Well this ain't no family. This is you telling a costumer that I don't matter. Why do you ship your console to my country
if we are not in a "Supported Region"?

 

1. No thats not what anyonenis telling yiu basically you are on your own if you dont live in an xbox live region Ukrainenornk or iran are supported regions the answer is the same for all non supported regions regardless of console

We cannpt help you bypass the regional restrictons

Because of issues thqt can arrise like wrong regiomal code now that subscriptions codea are regiom regiom locked or prepqid creditcards which is hit and miss

For iran and nk its a legal issue pendingnthe embargos

There are severe fines for brealking embargos

For any other region you have to wait for your government to supoort online services not all do look how long it took china

No online service can provide services without the express permission of the governemts of the regions

If you didnt know the punishment for breakingnembargos or commerce laws are severe fines and in the cases of russia jailtime

I am a simple guy who paid for this console, and then Boom, i find out that i waste tooooo much mony for that and for the games!!! its sadly unfair block us just because of damn region!

I live in Russia, and Russia is supported. Why do i have this problem, microsoft?

 

Microsoft, you must answer us. How much time do we have to wait? Or maybe we just need to sell xbox and buy ps4? There is a RDR 2 and we all want to play it, but we cant because of you decided to block xbox live in our regions. Just say us that we will
not be able to play on xbox anymore, and we will sell it.
