Wrong Linking Account

when my friend entered the Forza Horizon 5 game with my Steam account, there I was asked to connect my Xbox (Microsoft) account.
but my friend registered xbox account at that time. finally every time you enter the game, you will be faced with

"Link your Xbox and Steam accounts to start finding friends" and the option is "Is this the right one?

ID Luck xxx (my account)

Rotgaxxx (my friend's account)."

and that's not true, because my xbox account has the same name which is "ID Luck xxx".

I've tried logging out my steam account, and even uninstalling forza horizon 5. but to no avail.

Hi Kris!

Let's see what we can do about that here.

We will have to trace the webcache folder of the game so we can delete its files for you to sign in your correct Xbox account for the said game via Steam.

Navigate to your local AppData's at C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\AppData\LocalLow > Find the games folder there. If you've found it, look for "Saved" folder > Find and open "webcache" folder.
Delete all files in that folder.
Launch the game.
Sign into the preferred Xbox network account and allow the app to access your info.

Do you want to link your gamertag with your Windows Live ID? If so, you just go into your "My Xbox" account settings on xbox.com.

it is linked to another email and i forgot what the password was so it wont let me change it
