Wrong language chosen at initial setup, now stuck at update screen failing to connect to wifi

Hello, I don't have an XBOXONE but my friend asked me to help with her problem. She bought a new device and as they were setting it up, it seems they chose the wrong language at the start. Now turning on XBOX screen shows "paivitys" which is Finnish for
"update". She did not configure any wireless network information to the xbox and it seems this update process in Finnish keeps failing.

How can we go back to factory fresh state and choose English? Will connecting an ethernet cable to the router and xbox set the update in motion and fix the language? She doesn't want to be stuck with the wrong language forever.

Xbox one problems

Our Xbox1 is stuck at the initial green screen. We haven't seen any controller setup screen yet. now 40 min waiting.

Stuck at "When's your birthday?" during Xbox One setup

So, I have gotten through the initial hardware setup, downloaded and installed updates, signed in, But currently stuck at the aforementioned menu and unable to progress to selecting the day. The cursor is stuck on the month, and any button i push on the
controller will not tab to the "day" section of this screen.

If they're having trouble connecting wirelessly definitely give a wired connection a try. The box One should automatically detect the network and connect which should put the update into motion.

She must have not only the wrong language, also must be wrong the region, because Xbox don't allow to choose Spanish , by example, in U.S.

What happens if I don't live near one? I'm stuck on the factory reset console setup screen and whenever my connection states it's good it just reverts back to the step before it. If it tries to update through the initial setup then something will go wrong
with the update. I'm stuck in a loop. I can't get back to the home screen/dashboard anymore.

me too. I've a 4gb and when I reformat it only has 1.3 available. The old stuff is still there. Tried initial setup, but the download failed. Now I've got a multi language screen that says system error contact Microsoft.

Microsoft is all about bricking its own products.
