    Wrong gold membership account


    I recently purchased a 12-month xbox live gold membership for my xbox 360. Unfortunately I signed in on my computer using the wrong e-mail address, not the one associated with my normal xbox live account. Therefore I unknowingly created a new xbox live account
    and put my gold membership on there, meaning that I have lost all of the progress I made on my games. Is there any way to move my xbox live gold membership onto my old account?

    My son has a gold membership on his 360. I don't have a gold membership. If I add my son's profile to my new Xbox One, then it will give me gold membership as well?

    I don't have a 360 anymore, and don't have an Xbox One, but I would imagine that adding the account to console will automatically open up multiplayer to all users on the console.

    The license transfer does not affect Gold membership. Your membership as either run out or maybe you've signed into the wrong account.

    Ok, so you updated your email, and paid for a Gold membership, but put the Gold membership on the wrong account?

    If that is the case, that is unfortunate as Gold memberships are not transferable between accounts.

    If I am off, please clarify, and we can work from there.

    As far as I know there is no way to transfer this. I would guess your only hope would be to contact phone support to see if there is anything at all they can do, but I truly doubt it. 800 4MY-XBOX for the US and Canada.

    If the membership was added recently then you should call the number that Outsider posted. They should be able to remove it and send you a code to redeem on your son's account.
