Wrong amount of money on activated gift card

Did you use the card number on the receipt or on the card itself? (which you shouldn't post on the forums because someone could take them)

As far as I know you cannot change the amount on a gift card like that, so the number on the receipt should be different. If that is the one you used, then you would want to contact the retailer.

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums with this question. In regards to the pics you posted of the gift card, the card itself is only for the amount listed in the upper right hand corner (in this case £10 ). As our Ambassador has pointed out,
you shouldn't post personal information such as that on the forums as the code could be used by a different individual (and personal safety, etc) and it is against the

Forum Guidelines.

In this case, you can try going back to the retailer that you made the purchase from to see if they can rectify the discrepancy, or you can request a call back from Xbox Support to see if they may be able to sort this out. Sadly, we here on the forums lack
the tools necessary to assist with this.

When you go to Contact Usto request a callback, follow these steps:

• Step 1 ----Select Xbox One
  
• Step 2 ----Select See other options
  
• Step 3 ----Select topic
  
• Step 4 ----Select "Show contact options"
  
• Step 5 ----Select request a call from support
  

Once they call, explain the issue and they will be able to help you.

Give him a gift card for the correct amount of money.

It does not show up in my order history, but when I look up the account balance the amount does include the gift card was added. When I go to purchase a game to use the money in the account balance it doesn't show the new gift card amount.
