Wrong Account

I Have had this account for a while under a hotmail email that i set up in the late 90s. It got very full of spam and other things, 4 years ago I made up an account just for family and for things I actually signed up for. I went to move my 360 account to
the new email to use with my new windows 8 computer and there is some chidingharp420 account on it. Is there a way to delete that account? I want to use my hauntedsamuari account.

Xbox One code redeemed on wrong account

I redeemed a game code that I received when I purchased Assassins Creed: Origins Deluxe edition on my wrong account and I'm wondering if there's a way I can redeem it again (with proof of purchase of game and code of course).

Lions Odyssey is an offline account you wish to join live with.

You went and created the necessary microsoft account, but it generated a gamertag, so now you can't use that one for the wanted gamertag.

This happens to a lot of people.

You need to make another MS account, being very careful as you go through the steps to make sure it does not create an associated gamertag.

 

There's no way to delete chidingharp420 (an Xbox Live account), but take a look at this support article on how to transfer gamertags among Microsoft accounts:

support.xbox.com/.../switch-gamertag-to-different-microsoft-account

You'd have to make a new Microsoft account because none of the ones you are using now are free.

 

So I make a new microsoft account and transfer the harp one to it, then I can move the gamer tag to my new hotmaill?

 

Yep, sounds right assuming you don't really care about that chidingharp420 account. So that would be Steps 1-4 in that scenario in the support article.

Just to make sure you know, be sure to read any catches like waiting periods, how funds are handled near the bottom of that page.

 

Well since i tried to move it last week(that's when I found out I couldn't because of the other account) I have to wait 30 days to try and move it. So i wait 27 to move harp. Than wait 30 more to move the other the one I want... Thanks though! I just wont
buy any apps on my pc till the accounts are changed ....in 2 months.

 

As far as I know, you don't have to wait 30 days from trying to move it. It's when you actually move it that you have to wait 30 days.

So right now, I guess if you are getting the message "Sorry, we can't change your Microsoft account right now." from trying to move ChidingHarp0420 to the new Microsoft account you made, it might just be because the Microsoft account you made is new, so
you might have to wait 30 days because of that.
