Wrong 10$ gift code sent on Forza Horizon 3 promotion

I was asked to post here so I could get assistance regading a wrong 10$ gift code sent by email for the Forza Horizon 3 promotion on the Microsoft Store.

The code was not in a 25-digit format and Microsoft support confirmed

Pre-order gift cards not received

I pre-ordered Forza Horizon 3 and at the time the $10 gift card promotion was there and I also pre-ordered 2k17 both from microsoft.com and I have not recieved either of the $10 gift cards

 

Never received my $10 gift card

Hello there. I purchased Forza Horizon 3 on September 21st, 2016. It came with a free $10 gift card in the offer, which I was supposed to receive through email. I waited and now, 2 months later, still nothing. How do I proceed? I contacted Microsoft support,
which contacted Xbox support and was referred to this forum. Please, all assistance is appreciated. -Lori

The $10 gift cards are for use on microsoftstore.com not Xbox Live. So they should be a 9 digit code.

 

The instructions on the email link to xbox live (as seen below):

How to redeem your $10 Xbox gift card:

1. Sign in to your Xbox Live account on Xbox.com (live.xbox.com/.../RedeemToken)

2. Enter your code in the open field

3. Click Redeem Code and make sure to use the redeemed $10 funds within 120 days of redemption

Can you give me a link on where to redeem the 9 digit code?

 

That's odd. When you make a purchase on microsoftstore.com there should be an option to add a promo code and that's where you would enter the 9 digit code.

 

Yeah you redeem it at ms store then redeem the newly sent email on your console

 

Xbox only accepts 25 digit codes

However promotion store codes have to be redeemed on their websites firstly before you get the correct @e

 

I try using my Forza Horizon 3 $10 promo code but it keeps telling me it's invalid?

 

You would need to contact Microsoft Store support
