Nice to see this on the current gen.i enjoy this game more than most racing games.it dosnt get the hype of other games and its a pity more people dont try it out .it is such a different experiance from racing on a typical game on tarmac.plus no ramming issues
that ruin even the best of games on multiplayer .i hope they have kept the same format racing against ghosts online or they might do staggerd starts like real rally racing

 

Think the issue is that WRC is really only big in Europe which is why it doesn't get the exposure it should gamewise.

Online is a staggerd start but if you catch up to someone they turn into ghosts so no collisions

 

WRC gets plenty of exposure. Just not the exposure it wants. The game consistently gets mediocre ratings of 60 by EU game critics. Releasing a game on current and last gen consoles has it down sides. I guess they could be minimal with a "racing" game but
more and more games are having to cut content from the last gen consoles.

DiRT Rally came out in April and it has gotten some great reviews on Steam and the developers have gone on record saying that a release on PS4 and Xbox One is imminent.

I've always enjoyed the WRC titles. Being a fan of the sport helps but I always thought they played really well!

Online was great also, great community and made some good friends on there.

They were never the best looking games but again it was the playability the always got me hooked!

I do have a couple of concerns though. According to reports this was put together pretty fast to get it to the new gen consoles so hopefully they haven't messed things up! and ...

A new developer this time. Hopefully they have done an even better job but we shall see.

Where are you mate? I only ask because the date is definitely October 16th here in the UK, unless it's been changed and I've missed it lol

 

Just a word of warning to anyone thinking of getting this!

I think it plays great but it has some issues ....

Biggest problem, it's prone to freezing on Xbox One ( not sure what it's like on other platforms ) usually get a humming sound and it throws you back to the dashboard. Last night it totally locked my console and all I could do is power it off at the socket!

Few achievements seem buggy!

Also in one event, started the last stage of a rally 4 seconds ahead, had a good final stage, no penalties but somehow finished in 2nd over 30 seconds behind lol

I have tweeted the developers several times ( quite a few gamers reporting same issues ) but as yet no reply.

Again, when playing it's really good but the above problems especially the freezing are starting to spoil the experience!

 

Well Sebastian Loeb rally has been given a release date of 29th Jan & seems to have a lot more content than WRC.

Just hope it isn't as buggy

Sebastian Loeb Rally does look good.

Trouble is it's done by Milestone and their last 2 ( RIDE and Moto GP ) games have had some big issues at launch especially on Xbox One! Save Corrupt issues, freezing! I'll hold off and wait lol

WRC is good but just a shame it also has issues! Hopefully they will be sorted soon.

 

Yet again a racing game has messed up the multiplayer lobbies.never had any problem with previous wrc games.the smart search as they call it hardly ever finds a game and wont put you in a race thats underway leaving players thinking there are no games going
.they probably get bored searching and give up.
