    Xbox Series X 1440p @ 120hz

Thank you for the response. I’m currently using Acer 27" 1440p WQHD 165Hz 4ms GTG Curved VA LED as my gaming monitor. If this doesn’t fit the exact 120hz requirement, is there a list that shows all supported monitors?

Unable to 120Hz at 1440p Even Though Monitor Supports 144Hz at 1440p

Is it possible to change the framerate from 144 to 120hz on monitor ( AOC AGON AG322QC4 )
Becoyse what i know is that on samsung c32hg70 it is possible to set framerate on 120hz - so , we can play 1440p/120hz with freesync on

    Xbox Series X doesn't support 1440p@120Hz with 1440p@144Hz monitor

    Hi,

The issue here is usually the actual refresh rate of the monitor and what the Xbox expects the refresh rate to be.

When talking about high refresh rates, 120Hz isn't exactly 120Hz. Your monitor's 120Hz maybe 119.88 and the Xbox expects 119.98. Those slight specifics will make all the difference between being able to use 120Hz or not. Also, even if the cables are VESA standard, if the display isn't you're out of luck.

PC graphics cards don't use fixed refresh rates, hence the reason why you experience no issues with a PC.

    Is this your monitor? https://www.mi.com/global/monitor34/

That's not a 1440P display. It's an ultrawide (WQHD). A true 1440P display is 2560x1440 (QHD). Any other resolution other than native on your console will have to be interpolated with a lower resolution stretched across the screen. This will produce quite a blurry image as Xbox consoles do not support ultrawide resolutions.

The thing is if i go into xbox tv sertings i can set to 1080p 120hz. Do i actually get it?
No. your TV display needs to support 120hz to get 120hz from the Xbox,

your TV is limited to 60hz, so that all you'll get, unless you upgrade your TV to one that a true 120hz display.

There's no possible way to get a 60hz display to run at 120hz.

    Xbox Series X not displaying 1440p 120hz

    Hi,

Xbox Series X/S have issues with 1440P and 120Hz on various monitors due to many monitors using none standard timings. However, you have another issue in that your monitor is
    not 1440P.

Xbox consoles don't support ultra wide monitor resolutions, this monitor is an ultra wide. The 1440P supported on Xbox consoles is in the 16:9 aspect ratio QHD (2560 x 1440), your monitor is a 21:9 aspect WQHD (3440 x 1440).

Therefore, realistically your maximum resolution when connected to an Xbox console could be limited to 1080P. It may be possible to select 2560 x 1440P, but it won't look right and it probably won't run at 120Hz.

Your display is HDR 400 rated, this is entry level HDR and in most cases it's mediocre, yours isn't great. It just can't get bright enough to fully show a true HDR effect. Experiment with it (ideally in dark room), you'll find SDR to be better.
