Wow this is what Xbox One S needed to be from launch!!!!

Sony’s “Ultra” streaming 4K movie service will include rental option and be accessible to 4K PCs -

Direct from Xbox video store 4K UHD movies available for digital rental or purchase from the xbox video store. Xbox One S has zero options for the overwhelming majority of people who just want to rent a new 4K UHD movie and preferably download it to the
hard drive, then watch sonetime in the next 30 days-like PS3 video store and Xbox video store works. This is an ultra hd console with access to not even the basic digital purchase apps for uhd movies, like Vudu or Mgo. A broader 4K video store is needed
with access to every 4K title available now on UHD Blu-ray. Im really dissappointed in a console that was marketed as 4K, yet has no availability to rent nor buy 4K content beyond what my 4K tv apps alreadt do/have access to.

GIVE ME 4K RENTALS VIA A DOWNLOAD OPTION. Look to the PS3 for gow to rent new movies on a streaming or downloadable basis. Xbox One S# Let Down Again

This better not be ridiculously expensive. I'm still recovering from the launch edition of the Xbox One S.

Obviously make sure you are using the same profile that purchased the content, but the only other thing I can think is log on to your Xbox 360 and launch Minecraft to see if it applies an update. If there is an update, this should be what is needed to trigger
the discounted purchase price. Also, are you trying to do this from the Xbox One or from the website? If you are doing it from the Xbox One, try the website and see if you get a difference result.

 

Downloading normal movies isn't an option. I do agree they should add 4K content though

Seeing that UHD movies are in excess of 50 GB who is going to download them to the hard drive? People already complain about internet speeds and the size of games and Day One patches.

I don't think many are going to wait 4 or 5 hours for a movie to DL so they can watch it.

The Xbox infrastructure will catch up IMO, just be patient.

 

I would say if you have the 1TB or 2TB version tgis shouldnt be that big of a deal. Idk who would buy a 500GB Xbox One S- that lewves ansolutely no space. If i have the 1-2 TB version, you will not have enough space to download everything but a standard
full version of a UHD Blu-ray is 66GB. Considering your temporarily downloading a rental ( and rentals have no extras-movie only), I would think a digital rental would run 40GB, or so, for a 2 hour rental that gets deletee after you watch. Imo you should
never buy eigital versions of games because after one to two years, you can sell the disc baded gsme on ebay or trade in to anazon for credit. Never buy anything for games digitally except the requir ments-maps, armor customizations, etc. so maintaining
40GB of free space to download uhd movie rentals shouldnt be an issue. Buy everything else on disc and resell when game gets old. Again, never, ever buy digital versions of games. Amazon Prime costs like $100 a year- u can get games on release day without
waiting in lines, then sell once a year or two old. You can even trade in your games to amazon for store credit and use the funds towards the next game. Same with movies- rent ( once they get this essential feature going). Save yourself money and only buy
map packs and stufff like that digitally. Anything phtsical-UHD movies/games should be rented onky or bought on disc.

 

I've bought a few HDR/4K discs.

I mostly watch HDR/4K content through Amazon and Netflix though
