Wow these forums are terrible.

well, xbox forums might not be the best

But I definitely seen worse..

Take a look at reddit.. It's not that much better

 

It's easier to describe how the forums could be better if you had been on the previous versions. They were much faster to navigate and more organozed in my opinion. There were a lot fewer glitches too.

 

I agree. Considering this is part of Microsoft, I am shocked... Plus one thing I am not surprised about, much like the current state of the Xbox and the games, this site is buggy as hell just to name something they have in common! I get that little confused "oops"
avatar quite a bit...

Ideas:

>Make it dark (hurts the eyes) like the profile section or Xbox application

>Have 2 sections- support and discussion (or even an off-topic section for random social banter- just about everyone does this nowadays)

>Maybe have a dedicated forum to every game and franchise?

>Ability to edit and or delete our own posts/threads whenever we please

>Maybe be able to lock our own threads too

What's bad is, several of those items on your list have been part of the forums in the past.

If you're still using forums.xbox.com, you can still view the forums as separate discussions and support forums. That separation made the forums even more confusing though because new people to the forums would post in the wrong areas all the time.

 

Constructive criticism is always better than just negativity.

 

Each new design and implementation will always have its ups and downs. Believe me.

Feedbacks are always welcome. If you have something that displeases you, suggest changes.

I think there are new forums on the way so it will be interesting to see how much they change.

 

I'm an old skool gal that likes the thread style, too. and am very grateful that there are some forums out there who still stand to it to this day, but this is what we have to use nowadays via xbox.com. If there was an option to choose a style here, I'd
be all up for it!

Not sure that that 'forum design' is grounds to be fired though..
