that the port on top of the xb1 controller is the same cable as my galaxy (anything besides iphone pretty much). Was searching all over for batteries, but now i dont need them!

+1 xbox on this one.

I phone 5 cords work anything that's micro USB does the trick. I had all my controllers charged before the system was out haha

I was bewildered when I found out micro USB is used by the play and charge kits and they all work with the controller to make it wired. Having a rechargeable battery set + charger is still super useful in different setups, but with my current one, don't
need it. Brilliant.
