Would you ever purchase a future microsoft console ever again on day one?

bought my xbox one and ps4 on day one and will do so for the next console

 

^Installations are here to stay. Playstation requires installs. PC requires installs. If you don't like installs, then you best go grab a Wii U and play that. It really doesn't take that long at all to install. Even if it gets stuck.

 

The installations are a terrible idea for the record. I also disagree that these installs aren't that bad. I put this game in my console to begin install around 5pm, it is now almost 11 pm and I havent made it to my game yet, I am still installing an update.
I wont be able to play the game until tomorrow evening now. Now I do have a mediocre internet connection, so I expect a little slowness with game updates but with installation of games there is no excuse. It's a poor system.

 

poor system? cause you have poor internet? the longest i ever had to wait was a half hour to play

 

I'm loving the XB1 but wouldn't get a day 1 for future consoles.

 

The longest install I have EVER had was 30 minutes for it to fully install, but it's ready to play in less than 10 minutes. Installs are a good thing and something you're just gonna have to deal with. What's making you take so long to play your game is because
of your awful internet connection.

On launch day, I brought home 9 Xbox One games. I had every single one of them installed and completely updated within two hours, and that was also while downloading, installing, and playing Killer Instinct as well. There's absolutely no excuse for the install
to take that long besides your internet connection, which is something you need to look into.

 

It's going to be quite a while (maybe up to 10 years later) if and when the next gen console comes out. If there is a next time I might wait about a month. Only up to 10 peps on my friends list have an Xbox 1 and all of them return to playing Xbox 360. I'd
also wait a bit till there are plenty of good and highly popular games. So probably won't get it again on Day 1. Have only been with Xbox (360) since late 2010. It's not our ISP fault for slow connection. I don't think M has got any physical Xbox 1 Xbox Live
Azure servers in the Australia/New Zealand countries though heard they're bringing two data centres to Australia so that us New Zealand and Australians don't always have to connect to the US servers which would explain the high ping.

 

Time and time again. At this rate early adoption will have a good position on helping shape the futures of these consoles. You know as they are saying how focused xbox devision is on feedback now.

This means deal or not. We have the ability to make this console what WE want, except most just complain.

 

And that's the unfortunate thing, people are always going to complain. This new gen has turned into a 'Who can whinge the loudest' contest.

 

TC: Sony is selling the PS4 with a free copy of "Knack" in Japan. Guess you will never buy a Sony product as well.

 

What is the problem? You knew what you were going to get when the system first released so why are you complaining? And if you didnt know that you were going to be a beta tester and not recieve a "free game with it you are blind. If you dont want your day
one edition xbox sell it and get a titanfall bundle. easy as that.
