Would You Answer The Call ... of Duty again?

I just can't justify paying $80 for the CoD4 remaster.

 

Frick, ha ha. This was supposed to go in my other thread regarding Pyro on Dark Souls. Apologies, wasn't thinking right this morning.

Make the remaster standalone, with ALL the maps, for $30.00 and I'm in. Have NO interest for that add-on game they're packing in with it.

CoD4 campaign with MW2 maps and I'd be happy to try my hand at CoD again. All this futuristic malarkey doesn't belong in CoD games. Black Ops campaign deserves an honourable mention too.

 

Spot on D33dles. I have to hold out hope that they will see the $$$$$ from making it a stand alone at some point. Until IW releases they're just fishing for preorder numbers. I'd like to think IW would crash and burn in preorders without the remaster.

As has been mentioned the game was a classic. I would bet a fair bit that if they bought them both out separate, the remaster would sell more copies.

 

Thats probably why they're bundling them. For now at least. Id say a few months after release they'll cave and release the remaster stand alone. They'd be leaving money on the table if they didn't.

 

If the COD series was worried about money, they would discount the DLC's more and they largely remain the same price, i doubt they will release it as a stand alone, but hope they do.

 

Atleast here in the states if you buy the most expensive digital edition for this years cod it looks like they are discounting the season pass in a way if you think about it. $99.99 for Infinite Warfare, the remaster, and the season pass.

Though I understand that Activision is being shady by forcing you to get the new cod just to get the remaster. I for one do hope they sell it seperately, but it could very well not happen.

 

like i said, i'll hold on judging CoD:Infinte Wellfare until i see more about the game... but if they make a Call Of Duty: D&D, replacing guns with magic missiles, i'm all in.

These guys love money so I bet we'll see CoD 4 as standalone sometime in the future.

 

Activation also like figures and know by not selling it separately they can enhance the sales figures for their current installment, they also know people who want the remaster and are happy to buy the full package are the majority, and don't need the other
sales.
