Only ten maps for cod4, so that leaves 9 left out, so what do we reckon? Will the remaining be released as dlc with infinite warfare dlc

Best modern, single-player FPS

If you want just the single player experience (no multiplayer), then Call of Duty should answer your call.

You can probably find Call of Duty 4 used for cheap, hopefully the same for Modern Warfare 2.

I knew there would be a catch with this remastering of CoD4.

This doesn't make sense, apart to make more money for this year's CoD. Granted, I suppose it's more worthy than past $100 editions. But I don't see why all their multiplayer maps wouldn't be included in this and this tactic would further divide IW's playerbase.
I hope that it'll be sold separately eventually.

Also, why release a remake of a very hacked game without doing anything to the original? It seems like they are aware that CoD4 was a fan favorite, but left it to die with hackers and cheaters.

 

what will be interesting, is the player counts IMO, i thought extinctions was good tbh, but the player split between new and old will be very interesting indeed.

(I though COD4 was the least hacked of all the newer ones TBH you can still find many a lobby with no hacks)

(what is IMO a little sad is the amount of people that will pay full price to play just the old version)

 

I am probably one of those peeps Dave. MW for me was the best COd hands down. So many good memories. I'll be starting from fresh too as I played the original on the other system.

 

id really love to play CoD4 again.. no QS rubbish, no jet packs, wall running etc.. simple 3,5,7 streaks and balanced guns.

 

they come out with WW2 setting then yes i will buy the next version, but this scifi stuff has got to stop, all these perks have ruined a great franchise also. i would prefer set classes and custom public lobbies like back with cod 2.

 

"Happy Days" was great.

"Joanie Loves Chachi" not so much.

If people are honest with themselves we're starting to get into "Father Downling Mysteries" territory here with this franchise.

 

does this also mean no BC for COD games? i suspect thats the case.

 

I'm interested in the new COD, but I'm sure I'll give the remaster a go before getting into the new COD.

 

I'm way more interested in the re-make than sci fi garbage. In fact I spent most of yesterday playing MW on the 360 and much to my surprise there was not one hacker.

 

I spent all my time on the other system. Unfortunately towards the end you had people on top of inaccessible buildings via hacking. Which then made quite a fun game of " Flashbang The Hacker ". I would quite happily do it all evening just to *** him off.
