I’m going to buy this monitor for my xbox one x i’m going to buy: iiyama G-Master GB2730QSU-B1. My question is if this monitor would get 75hz and if it could use the display port for the xbox one x?

I really couldn't say myself. I'm not currently 'in the market' for one at the moment, and I haven't had much of an in depth look at them. Probably because I haven't been looking to buy one.

I can only suggest you doing some research yourself really.

If you want to know more about monitor support, and more specifically, freesync on Xbox One, Eurogamer's Digital Foundry did a in-depth test of the technology which can be found

    here

I'm a big fan of the DF video's on YouTube.

    Hi idstjalsma,

Thanks for your response, since your questions about the specifications needed for display for the Xbox One X were answered, discussion on purchasing monitors and their prices/specs drives this thread off topic. If you'd like to know more about specs on
a Monitor, please check out a forum specific to those topics (i.e. Tom's Hardware etc.) or create a discussion thread on this forum to hear more from the community about what monitors are supported and their perks for being used with an Xbox One.

    Thanks again!

https://iiyama.com/gb_en/products/g-master-gb2730qsu-b1/ I’m no proffesional in this but from what i can see it says it can only support freesync
with display port. Could someone check if i’m right?
Yeah, according to the manual it looks like Freesync is for the display Port only.

You don't want to buy this screen. It's fine for PC, with a monitor, but not with the Xbox One.

Visit the site of the maker.

A display port can't be used since the xbox one x only has a hdmi out
They can connect it the screen via HDMI as HDMI is one of the outputs on this screen.

However, you won't get 75Hz, the reason being that firstly the Xbox doesn't support 75Hz and two, there are no Xbox One games that run at 75 FPS. You'll get 60Hz instead.

If you're after Freesync it's a good idea to check out the manual for the monitor before parting with your money. You can find most manuals for monitors on the manufacturers websites. The crucial things you're looking for firstly is if FreeSync over HDMI
2.0 is supported, and secondly, what resolutions Freesync is available for use on the monitor. Not all monitors will support Freesync at 1440P or 4K resolutions.

I would suggest checking YouTube for monitor reviews regarding Xbox One usage. That way, you won't buy the wrong type of display.
