Hi guys so I just ordered a Xbox one power supply it going to be here tomorrow I might won't be home tomorrow I live an a apartment you know how small the apartment mailbox is not that big. The Xbox one power supply brick is big so do you think that
it would fit in my mailbox just in case I won't be home

If your apt box is like mine and the shipper used a well cusioned box to ship. Then No, it's not likely to fit.

Best to have someone home when such things are expected to arrive.

Would it not be sent by courier and you'd need to sign for it?

 

You don't typically have to sign for something unless it's valued at a couple of hundred dollars or more. You may have to pick it up at the post office or wait for it to be redelivered if you're not home though.

 

A kinect fit in my mail box and they are comparable in size I also live in an apartment.

@CodeCat, in the uk it depends on the service which is used not normally the value, most couriers in the UK require a signature, i can only think of one (excluding royal mail) which doesn't and MS don't use them.

 

@enen - Gotcha. Here in the US, it's *usually* a bit different. Requiring a signature will cost extra, so it's basically insurance. You can require a signature for anything, but it's typically reserved for either more expensive items, or important legal
documents. eBay is a good example.... If I sell something over $250 in value, I'm required to get a signature from the buyer upon delivery if I want to be covered under their seller protection policy. If I don't and someone makes any type of claim, I have
no protection.

So something like a $20~ power supply isn't going to require a signature.

Its is similar hear, but there is royal mail and couriers and couriers normally require a signature, but in the UK we also have distance seller regulations which protect the consumer, so its in the companies interest to get a signature as its proof of delivery.

Its all about risk and profit,

 

I'd err on the side of caution, especially if I lived in an apartment if it were me. As far as requiring a signature, I've had many shipments show up that were supposed to require a signature... and the courier didn't. I've had some that required a signature
and the courier did ask for it... both of these type instances from the same courier. (In the US)
