    I have deleted my old email and therefore would like to change my email on my xbox account. I changed it but it takes a month to actually swap to my new email! I don't have my old email like I said I deleted it so I need to change it to my new one and not

    Okay, i wanted to swap my old email to my new email i currently use for my xbox live account, my old email was spammed and was blocked, i finally got it unblocked and changed the password, so far my old email is the one connected to my xbox account, i tried
    to swap my emails on my account, it said my new email was associated with another account which it was, i had tried to change my accounts old email to my new one but then somehow it created a new xbox live account with my current email address, i also have
    a third email i dont use, so i had then went on my xbox and downloaded this free xbox live account with my current email, i then tried to swap my emails and of course it had failed, without any real reason or explanation on telling me how but directed me to
    the website which would "help" i read what was on the page but there was no real actual information as to how it could help, i have no idea why it has trouble swapping emails on this free account because the email im trying to swap it to isnt affiliated with
    another account, why does it not work?

    my plan was to swap my current email for this dummy (third) email i wouldnt use on the free account that i would also never use, this was so i was able to then swap my old email that was blocked to my current email for my xbox live account i actually use, it
    would really help me to find out why it isnt working and how to resolve the problem as to why my accounts emails wont swap, can anyone help me?

    How do I change WLID for gamertag without an Xbox 360 console?

    But doesn't the link/guide provided by An Xbox Dude involve changing my actual email to another one. Because if that's the case then I don't want to change my email address. I like it as it is. Or am I misunderstanding something? Does this process actually
    swap my work email for my casual email and will I end up receiving work related emails to my casual email address because of the swap? Slightly confused. :(

    You can't just delete the email from the account. You can swap it in account management on your console, morph the registered email at account.live.com or delete the registered email out of the system at account.live.com. However, deleting it without swapping
    it would make it a "bad" WLID and you wouldn't be able to use your gamertag, as far as I know.

    Trying to change gamertag to new email. "sorry we can't change your account right now!!"

    Having the same issue - need to swap this gamertag off this email (this is my primary email) so I can move my actual gamertag onto it.

    I have a 2 step swap process to go through and can't even get it started by removing this randomly-generated tag off my email.

    Change Microsoft account associated with GamerTag

    Accounts can not be swapped. Once an account is attached to an email address, the only option is to change the primary email address associated with the account.

    This has drawbacks, if the email address is a Microsoft one (@outlook, @hotmail, @live etc) you can not remove it completely, as it would shut down the email address and all other services that that email address had access to, like Microsoft office, purchases
