I know that Minecraft can't run splitscreen if you use composite AV wires, but if you use a wire that connects the Xbox HDMI to VGA, would it work. Here is the link to the wire I'm talking about: http://www.rakuten.com/pr/product.aspx?sku=205880672

    USB to HDMI

    Hi,

If you want to connect your computer monitor that does not have an HDMI port to your Xbox One console, you can use an HDMI adapter and connect it to the monitor's USB port. Its display would depend on the resolution of your computer monitor. To know more
about your computer monitor's screen resolution, you may need to get in touch with the device manufacturer.

Don't hesitate to get back to us if you have any other inquiries.

How to connect my xbox 360 to my computer monitor? Please Help

DVI or VGA to HDMI adaptor. you will not have sound. so either a RJ11 to RCA adaptor or a good set of surround phones /w mic are good.

He said he had an Xbox 360 VGA Adapter. So yes, he will have sound and does not need an extra video connector.

You hook up the RCA to 3.5mm adapter i described to the red and white and then plug your PC or headphone speakers into the 3.5mm connector. Plug the VGA cable into the monitor's VGA port and use the monitor's DVI port for your computer (assuming your computer
    can output DVI).

Again, if the computer does NOT have a DVI port (I looked up the monitor and it does has a DVI port), then you have to use a VGA KVM switch to flip between two VGA connections easily.

Yes, it would work. Note however that this cable does not connect to the HDMI out on the console, it connects to the AV connector, the same connector that you can use for Composite video output or Component output. Its basically the same cable as the official
    Microsoft HD VGA cable

Does your monitor have built in speakers and an audio in jack? Without one, you won't be able to get sound and most monitors don't support the red and white RCA audio connectors. If it does have an audio in, it will more than likely be the 3.5mm variety,
in which case you would need
    one of these
    too.

If your monitor does not have built in speakers you will need to have a separate set of speakers or stereo system that has external audio inputs.
