WoT Spotting System is TERRIBLE!

Can someone explain to me just how tank A can "spot" tank B, when A is looking forward & B is approaching from behind?

The last time I inspected a tank, there wasn't a WINDOW in the back of the turret.

You will alos know that tanks will "spot" you when you are behind a building, or behind giant rocks (which only SUPERMAN can do).

When you are looking at a tank at 400 yeards, how does it disappear for a few seconds & then reappear? In real life, you can easily spot a car at 700-800 yards & EVERY tank is MUCH bigger than a car.

Really, this is all true & when you ask anyone connected to the game, they will reply with LIES & EXCUSES.

WoT is full of problems, most of them are UN-avoidable!

spending all this time writing complaints is pointless. if you don't like it then don't play it. it's not like you have spent $60 bucks and then found the game not to your tastes, it was free so play or go play something else.

for those who have not tried WoT I would recommend at least trying it. I find WoT very fun and have learned to work within the spotting system that the OP finds so deplorable. once you understand how the game works there is no real problems... don't
take the OP's word for it, try the game yourself.

is the way the game is build dude.....if ur close to a tank certain amount of meters it will show on the map no matter what..(means ur in one side of the building and he es in the other side; u cant shoot him or see him for that matter but u can see him
on the map as well as everyone else in ur team and his).. and they disappear from ur sight cause they get spotted and u lose them cause they brake line of sight with whoever spot them or they kill (or someone else) the guy spotting him and every tank has an
amount of view range some more than others, some have equip the enhanced sight or the binocular equipment (u can buy those in the store for silver) so they add to what they already have wich mean they probably will see u before u see them and the only way
u can see someone that is outside ur range of sight is if he gets spotted and ur radio is on the range of the tank that spotted him.. yet again if the guy that is spotting him get kill u only have like 2 seconds before he disappear... u can increase ur view
range with ur crew (training them on skills and perks) and also u can train ur crew commander with the six sense perk that give u a warning that an enemy is about to spot u giving u a few seconds to back up and brake the possible line of sight before u get
that warning that u have being spotted... hope it helps a bit.... go check BohemianEagle or QuickyBabyTV channels on youtube for more explanation (they play the pc version but the concept apply the same for xbox version)...

not going into big detail but max spotting range is 445.

this game wouldn't be fair if EVERYONE had 800+m spotting range because then we would all die at the start of the map. I have a leopard light tank with decked out gear. He spots everything. there's a wiki on this game. about the size of Lord of the Rings
trilogy if you wanna read it.

You should check out the worldoftanks360edition.com forums; thousands of threads like these of people who dont (wanna) know how the spotting mechanics works.

 

I know how it works, as does everybody else who thinks it's a joke. It's just the WORST play mechanic (along with the least accurate guns) in the HISTORY of video games & I have the guts to say it. Maybe it's because I understand Newtonian Physics & I'm
NOT being paid to defend it. It seems pretty straight forward, to me.

you've(duke) have spent more time writing out complaints than you likely have spent playing the game. why the huge effort to discredit a game that you won't play? just grow up and go find another title already...

to those who read duke's postings and bail on at least trying WoT, you are missing out on a fun free game...

 

Binoculars and driver perks. Believe there's a "sick sense" perk where your warned a head of time when a enemy is aiming at your tank. I usually unlock the mentor perk first for the driver.

 

Just like the idiots on TV news, you should gather ALL of the facts before you go out and make an "Al" of yourself. LOL

I'm trying to inform people, so that they won't throw their hard earned (at least by some of us) money away on a poorly performing product. If you want to do the opposite, then go right ahead!

Have you ever asked yourself why a player of my high skill level EXPOSES the flaws of the game (as a FREE service to the public) rather than just cleaning the "clocks" of idiots who throw money at the game?

My friends & I have given the game thorough testing throughout the BETA & beyond (uncovering numerous flaws that the developers DENIED existed, but later made adjustments...hmmmm). Perhaps if your nose wasn't pointed so high in the air, you might have discovered
that.

As BETA testers, we tested PREMIUM rounds & PREMIUM (junk) tanks compared to the normal tanks, as well (Premium tanks earn more fake silver than a FREE tank, but you can't BUY skill). Driver perks are of minor help, but won't compensate for the bad guns
& arbitrarily bad game physics (which I studied as a Math & Physics major). If you want to spend a lot of $$$$ to lose at a game (which WILL happen), then this game is AWESOME! I prefer to pay ONLY for EXCEPTIONAL products, which is why I own American made
firearms that I shoot with U.S. ARMY training. I hit my targets with real bullets, so I know what it is like.

These are nice looking CARDBOARD tanks, firing CARDBOARD rounds from a CARDBOARD "gun". It's a very mediocre (Russian "quality") game for FREE. What they try to do is ensure that you have enough BAD GAME RESULTS that you will "try" to fix by buying something
from their store (that's how they hook you). It's just too bad that NOTHING in their store is any better than the free JUNK that you can get.

It has nice attention to accurate tank graphics, but that's where the accuracy ends. Their guns are literally the WORST guns in any video game that I have ever played. I can explain EVERYTHING that is wrong with the game construction (but that would take
a while).

It's curious how WoT NEVER shows the disappearing tanks, the impossibly bad aiming system & the random damage done by their guns in their ads. Their TV commercial shows things that can NEVER happen, but look cool & enticing. They never show you the HARD
GRIND of struggling to get a better gun than your stock trash tank has at the outset (just wait until you get to tier 8, sucker!). Why do you think that they HIDE these bad elements of the game? (If they weren't bad, they wouldn't hide them from their commercials.)

An objective analysis shows a game with tremendous potential (the early BETA was vastly different) that was squandered & a company that exploits the ignorance of the consumer base BETTER than anything that I have ever seen. They sell GARBAGE to suckers for
a PREMIUM price & their are a lot of pigeons, it seems.

I know a lot more about this game than you do, "Al" (not a shocker, really). You are welcome to your opinion, even if it differs from mine. I speak a simple truth & I am aiming to help inform people to save their $$$ for a REAL game, because this isn't
"it"!

you obviously don't like the game, we get that. you say you only want to warn people? a single thread post would have taken care of that, and why not let them download the "free game" and see for themselves what it's all about? you're unselfishly saving
us all from the horrible experience of downloading a "free" game we may or may not like? your posting makes you sound like a spoiled child throwing a tantrum. like I mentioned above perhaps you should grow up and move on back to whatever title you choose
to dominate with that huge ego/skill set you supposedly enjoy...

once again it's a free game, so nobody has to pay for the game you seem to bash for some personal reason that is not posted in your rants, why not go over to the official forums and post and see if anyone over there cares what you think? the dev's do read
those forums and suggested changes are being made to the game. I suppose they probably have already given you the boot over there though, so you're only option is to wage a slander war on these forums right? since you are a highly skilled veteran beta tester
they'll no doubt put extra weight on you opinions right? from your attitude I'd say perhaps your opinions would not go over well, but if you really want to make the game into something better then that(the official forum) is the route.

my opinion is that people should try it for free and make up their own minds rather than read the spiteful post you make tearing the game down unfairly and then never give it a free chance.

Probably got one shotted. Happens to all of us in the early going or with the weak cannons early on. Once the tanks are fully upgraded I have good games all the time. Still have stinker games here and there when high tiers are in the match. I'm not to
worried about stinker games. Cause you don't have to sit around wait for the match to end. You can race to garage and get going on next map with a different tank.
