WoT is full of problems, most of them are UN-avoidable!

This game has nice looking graphics & the tank models are extremely well done.

Too bad, that this is the end of the compliments, in my opinion. You need to do the research & decide for yourself!

War Gaming doesn't care about ANYTHING, literally, except your $$$. That isn't necessarily bad. What make it bad, is that they offer a sub standard gaming product & blame YOU (the customer) for everything that goes wrong in the game. They offer all kinds
of items that "seem" like they would be helpful, if only you spent real $$$ on them.

If you bought any of their "gold" with real $$$, I feel sorry that you were victimized by their scam & I hope that you will NOT make that mistake, again.

I was a BETA tester (in 2013) & I tried everything that their "gold" could buy. (They always blamed the USER, whenever we reported problems with the BETA game play. This was done, because their game design has more holes in it than Swiss cheese.) NONE of
it worked any better than the rest of their cardboard tank items. PREMIUM tanks are actually worse than the regular tanks, because they can't be upgraded. I have NEVER given them any $$$ & I never will. I don't pay for garbage....I pay to have garbage hauled
away.

Their "spotting" system is the joke of the video gaming world. Tanks that appear & disappear while you're looking at them...is laughable.

Their guns are the worst that you have ever seen in ANY video game, because their accuracy is based upon a slot machine.

WoT is a mediocre games, when it's FREE & it's a terrible game if you actually pay cash for their items.

-When it says not to purchase from the xbox games store is it saying i should only purchase it from the store in the Tell Tales: TWD Season 2 Download menu?

The spotting system is the one thing that works as it should/is advertised. For example, depending on the tank, that tank has a camo net, and he may disappear right in front of you when it's activated. Having said that, i agree there are a lot of bugs and
elements missing; the game seems to be still in beta. Coupled with other big issues, like not getting refunds for when they nerf your premium tanks, I agree spending money on this game is onwise. But it's a good free to play game; emphasis on FREE.

 

Let's be honest. This game had a tremendous potential to be a legendary game & they blew it, badly. I tell my friends that this is a "bubblegum game". That means you play it & as soon as the game that you've been waiting to play arrives....you spit it out
& NEVER return.

It's simply a mediocre game for FREE. If either XBOX had any good strategic games worth playing (& they don't), then I wouldn't be wasting my time with it.

If you like the game, that's cool & I'm glad that you enjoy it!

The problems are so obvious, to me & is exposed by asking the right questions.

1) What real world aspect does the "closing circle" replicate?

2) What real world aspect does the "spotting" (or disappearing tanks) replicate?

3)What real world aspect does the inaccuracy of EVERY gun replicate?

The answer is ____________.

(Hint: I have never seen a closing circle when I have shot a gun & I am US Army trained. Have you ever seen it, before? I see cars at 700 m-800 m with no problems. Don't you? A 0.5 degree of deflection angle = a 10 m wide shot at 1000 m. That qualifies as
DEFECTIVE hardware.)

Ask any US Army cavalry soldier to explain it, if you need to have it explained.

Here's the "secret":

Whenever the game operates well, NOBODY has an incentive to buy their "GOLD". Therefore, they make the game play erratically, so that it frustrates players into buying their "GOLD", in hopes that their bad experience will be "fixed".

Alas, nothing that they sell works any better than the FREE stuff (we learned this in the BETA test.) & there are NO REFUNDS. The premium tanks blow up nice & pretty when you hit them, because they are made of the same virtual cardboard as the rest.

If you're enjoying this game, every match, then I envy you. I see ALL of the flaws & I would hope that you do, also.

If you're looking for a "real" tank simulator game; then World of Tanks is not for you; they dont advertise it as being a realistic tank simulator; forget about spotting or inaccuracy of the shooting; in the real world tanks get hit once and they're toast.

 

Actually, sir, they DO advertise it as ultra REALISTIC (by implication). You are correct, that they NEVER actually state that in words, though.

In their commercial, they show extra detailed tanks & action that is NOT in the game itself. I noticed that they DO NOT show the terrible SPOTTING (disappearing tanks is the living cartoon) system, the super inaccurate gun shots, the randomized damage on
the hits.

Gee, I wonder why? (Not really.)

If you enjoy the game, then I congratulate your ability to overlook the massive flaws in its execution & wish you MORE of it. I see a game that squandered its potential & serves only as a temporary bridge until any XBOX has any good war game worth paying
to play. WoT just ain't it!

Every match, you will hear "BS", if the players have open mics. This is the ONLY game where this happens, because the physics is intentionally erratic with the goal of enticing the player to spend money to "solve" his problems.

Whenever the game plays smoothly, NOBODY has an incentive to pay them any money. They FORCE their chaotic bad game play on the unsuspecting customer...on purpose! Think about it.

spending all this time writing complaints is pointless. if you don't like it then don't play it. it's not like you have spent $60 bucks and then found the game not to your tastes, it was free so play or go play something else.

for those who have not tried WoT I would recommend at least trying it. I find WoT very fun and have learned to work within the spotting system that the OP finds so deplorable. once you understand how the game works there is no real problems... don't
take the OP's word for it, try the game yourself.

duke: what you do is throw out a bunch of opinions as fact. the game plays fine. is it a super realistic sim? the answer would be no, but then what video game is an actual sim? the answer there is not many.

I'm not making a fool of myself telling people to blow off your hateful opinions and try the game for themselves, and I would like to know why you are so fueled with hate for the dev's of this title? care to elaborate on the reason why you hate the dev's
of this game so much that you'd spend a lot of time slandering them on these forums? and why aren't you posting these topics over at the official game forums so some positive changes could perhaps be made to the game?

I recommend this game for everyone as well. Its free. They're constantly adding new tanks and new maps all the time. Also adding weather and day and night as well. So its different all the time. I even bought $15 for 30 days of premium.

 

So, you spent $15 of your Daddy's (or even worse, your own hard earned) money for their PREMIUM "drug". Was it worth it?

I'm sorry that you didn't read about the flaws of this game, sooner. You might still have some of that $15 + the wisdom of when to spend it. You can blame others all you want for your money management problems, but that doesn't alter the truth.

When your Premium time expires, you will feel like a drug addict going through withdrawal symptoms. It'll be even worse, if you are using PREMIUM rounds when you get cut off. (We got 250 gold /day as BETA testers & PREMIUM rounds ate that up like candy.
This is how I know all about their PREMIUM without having to pay a penny. Only idiots can't see the drug dealer connection.)

No matter what you say, they tricked you like a drug dealer & (hopefully) you know it, now. The sooner that you admit it, the better off you will be & then you can spread the word to help others.
