Worth defending in MP?

I've noticed a trend the last few times I've played that most of the plant team doesn't defend. They are no where near the garden and appear to just be picking off one or two zombies before death. I know you receive a 100 coin bonus for a defensive kill,
but I was wondering if the faster games by not defending makes up for the difference abs that's why I don't see it anymore.

oh yeah, taking the obj should be worth the most, then defending

It's worth playing using Tactical Defending so that your ready when you play online. Glad you got the cheevo though.

 

People do what others do: stay on the garden, fight for defending it and other players will follow you.

In these days the 50% of the time i play as plant, other team does not pass the first garden.

 

Good question. I thought about that myself. It seems if the match ends on the first garden no one gets as many coins as they would if it went the whole way (or if zombies win).

 

You have to look at "points per minute" stats.

It has no sense to speak about how many points you have obtained without considering the time you needed to get them.

When you win on the first garden as plants, you'll get a great point per minute stat.

Same for zombies when you win on the last one.
