Worst system yet

I just bought the new xbox1 only to find out that the backwards compatibility they BRAG about as a selling point is nothing more than bunk lies or it only applies to the worst games imaginable I guess. Seeing how I own all 3 of the bioshocks for the 360
along with several other good titles like Splintercell Blacklist, I figured my upgrade should be to the new xbox because they brag about being able to play your old games when infact its not true, you can play the TITLE only if you buy it all over again from
them as a digital purchase....this is beyond wrong and SUPER FREAKIN GREEDY as I already OWN the titles and do NOT want to pay AGAIN for something I already own....it is unbelievably greedy to do such a thing. They really don't deserve loyal customers that
stay with their system opposed to other ones if this is how xbox plans on treating them!

I have to say that I'm less than Impressed that it cant even play old xbox titles that's a major oversite and practicly false advertising when they say it does I also plan on selling this thing as soon as my gold subscribe is up as I don't plan on paying
them montly fees for nothing anymore sure you get 2 games a month "free" (wich is not free btw youre paying 10$ a month....) but they are usually the worst titles xbox has that nobody would pay for anyways or its so old and out of date that who cares? point
is montly fees for nothing is bad business just like charging people for games they already own

also the interface on the xbox one is just plain awefull clustered and not very user friendly

very unhappy very disappointed and very ashamed that I wasted my money on this piece of garbage

The biggest problem (for me) was the whole co-op system, probably one of the worst I've yet seen.

You need to setup your console as home console

Once you do you can use family share and add him as a guest account on your family share

Did you add gold to your main account?

 

Hey man! Sorry you're frustrated. The Bioshock games were remastered so its up to the publisher to make the original versions backward compatible. AND it looks like they are currently in progress here: https://xbox.uservoice.com/forums/298503?query=Bioshock

So that's great news. You can use that website to let your voice be heard by posting ideas and voting for current games to be added to the list.

 

Hi, you're wrong about having to purchase the games again if you already own backward compatible games (disc or digital), then you log in with the account you purchased the games with, then you can download them from your ready to install section of my games
and apps. For any disc games that are compatible, just insert the disc and install the game like installing an xbox one game. For the full list of games that are compatible (they are some AAA games on the list) have a look here majornelson.com

 

You buy an Xbox One to play Xbox One games. The fact that it plays over 150 Xbox 360 games and more are being added all the time is just an added bonus. The fact that you think otherwise shows that you should have done research in advance. Everything is
clearly spelled out.

Who pays $10 a month for Xbox Live?? You can find Live tokens for $35-40 which is 3 to 3 1/2 dollars a month for 4 games, since the games released for Games with Gold include the Xbox One games and the 2 Xbox 360 games released each month which are all backward
compatible.

 

There is that much info out there about BC, that I'm thinking this post must be a joke.

OP...you really never tried just looking at the BC list and sticking one of your discs in? Or are you miffed, because you've been trying to download titles you never actually owned?
