    Yesterday September 12, 2014 I purchased an XBOX ONE console from SEARS in Southern California. I also purchased an additional controller, two quick recharge kits, and a Turtle Beach headset. I went in ready to buy the $499 XBOX
    ONE bundle with Kinect and Forza game. I was told by the sales associate the bundle was discontinued and also Microsoft is recalling all the Kinects so the only one available was the XBOX ONE CONSOLE bundle with Forza.

    I had no idea about the recall (which I now know was a lie). I accepted the $399 XBOX ONE and Forza bundle. I also informed them about the promotion about the free game with this purchase. The sales rep REFUSED and said no no
    no and never gave me a clear answer why when I pulled up the promo on my phone even and showed him. He said it wasn't available in California... then he said it was only available with the Kinect bundle and they must not have updated the ad because the Kinect's
    were "RECALLED".

    **** I get home and FIRST THING!!! I'm setting up the XBOX stoked to play. Open the box.... NO GAME. I go back to the store, wanting to return everything and was told NO RETURNS on this item???? I GET LIED TO, GET STUCK WITH CRAP
    AND THEN THEY SAY SORRY YOU OPENED IT NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES. I almost snapped! He then said he would call a manager and MAYBE get it ok'd but there would be a 20% restocking fee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I waited a while contemplating between PS4 and XBOX ONE and I make my move to stay with you guys FOREVER and a business you allow to sell your products LIED, CHEATED, and I'm just going to call it stealing from me. So now I'm home with my console...
    NO kinect, NO games. COMPLETELY BUMMED! The retailer REFUSES to do anything. I have never been treated this way before, ever, PERIOD!

    Please help me... this is a nightmare! I hope MS had nothing to do with this "bait and switch" scheme SEARS has going on. I NEED SOMEONE TO STAND UP FOR THE LITTLE GUY AND MAKE THIS RIGHT!!! DO SOMETHING!!!!!

    If I keep getting brushed off I'm going to the Attorney General, State Secretary, local Congressman, BLOGGING on every social media outlet for 6 months straight that's how *** off I am.

    Here we go again. Another Achievement system is down.

    The excuses from the apologists just don't cut it with me I'm afraid. The Xbox One experience is shambolic at best. Today's Achievement mess has finally moved me to the PS4. The 360 is the best console ever. The XO is by far the worst. It's incredible that
    Microsoft couldn't build on what they did with the 360 without mangling everything they touch on the new machine.

    Sorry to hear that this happened to you. First off, there are no recalls for consoles or Kinects. As for the offer of the free game that was through participating retailers only.

    This means that perhaps Sears was not taking part in that offer.

    Now as for the console you were sold you should try to contact the head office and explain how the sales person lied to you about the consoles you wanted to purchase and the fact that there was no game in the package (have you checked everywhere for a download
    code? Most bundles come with a digital copy not a disc). Perhaps they'll be more inclined to help you out from there.

    If you can't get any satisfaction that way you should post a complaint at the Better Business Bureau.

    To put it honestly?

    There is no Forza bundle without Kinect. The salesman lied to you, and Sears has handled this poorly. Your beef is with Sears. Especially since MS has no legal means to control who sells the product. Anyone can legally sell them.

    So why you are upset with MS I honestly don't know...but to me it makes no logical sense. Sears is 100% of the problem here.

    No I unplugged from mains to remove power supply as I was hoping it maybe was a system glitch when switching off i.e power saving / standby rather than actually completely going off
