WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN MY LIFE $25 GIFT CARD XBOX LIVE MEMBER

Ok so where do I start.

I just talked to both a customer service rep and the supervisor. ID #1309559939. So basically what I did was the following. I ran out and had 2 options in front of me. A 59.99 12 month gold package from a store or a $25-50 gift card. Not having enough for
the 12 month gold until friday and my previous 12 month just expiring I was left with this problem to get back online.

So I bought the $25 gift card to buy a 3 month gold or a 1 month I do not really care. Learning this now I kinda recalled it and hesitated almost to purchase a prepaid credit card for $30 thinking the gift card wouldn't work.

Little does the prepaid card mention anything about it being unable to be used to purchase xbox live memberships. NOWHERE.

It says

$25 microsoft

BACK

All it says is may be used for eligible purchases (exclusions apply) <<<< Doesn't mention what it excludes...

Thats all it says. So ya wasn't able to get on xbox live was told by the people running the customer service department GLEN S AND JASON D. (Don't deserve jobs..) Couldn't help me with anything. I have been on xbox live for 8 years... Thats a good 5 xbox
360's deep 1 original xbox and hundreds of games and hours of my life. And these people can't give me a trial code or a extension on my xbox live. These people in that situation and yes I said these people.... Terrible employees and abilities these employees
have to offer the customers.

There is no loyalty there is no customer service other then informing you they cannot help you. I have a xbox one on pre order with halo and I'm strongly reconsidering this after this event. I feel offended and insulted that there is no solution other then
to bend over. So again thank you to the customer service of microsoft.

I have not received $10 gift code with pre-order game for Call of Duty: Black Ops III for Xbox One

The $10 gift card is a promotion from microsoftstore.com. You would need to contact their customer service for assistance with the offer.

If you are a rewards member, you will receive 15,000 rewards credits instead of the $10 gift card.

 

Xbox live $25.00 gift card..

So i got a Microsoft. Xbox live gift card $25. The card was in the same place i always get them. Paid for card go home and redeem card. It wouldn't let me purches the 3month gold. Card reads, can be used for online games, xbox live, movies, and much more...
point is the gift cards dont work for xbox live member ship. Sound like it can only be used for xbox online games. Thanks for making it right. You know who you are

 

Sorry you're upset. However, currency cards have never been allowed as a payment method for a Gold membership. Your only options for a Gold membership have always been either a pre-paid Gold card, credit card or paypal. This is because when you purchase
a membership online the system automatically sets itself up to auto renew unless you turn it off.

Even purchasing a pre-paid/refillable credit card would not have worked as they are not allowed either.

 

To add to what onyx said it doesnt actually list subscriptions on the currency card

As mentioned by him you are never able to use cureency to buy a subscription regardless of system even psn

 

More refers to things like apps or ingame currencies like zenies in neverwinter andother mmorpgs or dlcs

Or on occasion memberships like ea pass without autorenewal

But never any xbox subscriptions

 

I can sympathize with Joey10,

I use to be a fan of Microsoft, until they started with this strategy, is it necessary to create a purchasing format confusing to the novice customer, disrespectful to make the customers jump through these hoops and be demeaned by arrogant, staff that have
the gall to blame the customer for not reading the fine print.

I realize that most customers will not fight for their rights when obstacles are placed in their path, and if abused, will turn tail and run, rather than argue their rights, but now we are talking more than $5 bucks, when $50 bucks they will fight and will
not let arrogant fools tell them, you should have read the note.

 

Ummm it's clearly written on the front of the card

Dlc games and movies and music nothing about subscriptions

Even when you purchase subscriptions it clearly states you need to turn on autorenewal and you need a billing sccount

I don't know how many more info you need

Any promotions also make it clear what you need a renewable payment option

No online service allows currency to be used for online subscriptions

So what makes you think it could ever be used if no one else uses it

You have clearly labelled prepaid membership cards and currency cards specially labelled for dlc

It is not the services issue if the user doesn't use common sense

 

With any subscriptions you know that you have to renew and currency isn't a renewable payment option
