Worst Console Ever

Cannot read a disc for a game without repeatedly re-inserting it,

Cannot select the "turn off" button without holding for the UI interface at
least 3 times,

Games randomly crash out to the home screen

Loading times between screens is atrocious; it takes at least 5 minutes to just be able to see if my friends are on, and that's if the screen I'm trying to load will even load at all instead of perpetually getting stuck with the loading ring. I'm trying
to see a gamercard, not solve the millionth digit of pi, the performance of this machine is beyond pathetic, it's revolting and insulting.

Party chat is completely broken, it has been over a year, yet it takes at
least 3 tries each time no matter what to get the party chat to connect without "there has been a network error," my settings are all open, followed the troubleshooting, and all the fix-its, it's still as unreliable as it was the first
day I got the console.

GUI is based off Windows 8; people hated Windows 8 so much that the next NEW RELEASE of Windows HAS GOTTEN RID of the tile-screen, so when exactly was it ever a good idea to use the tile GUI for the Xbox? Oh wait, NEVER.

This console is nothing short of a middle finger to the face of the consumer. Carl Ledbetter should be fired, and have any and all forms of credentials such as degrees in marketing, computer/software engineering, any form of monetary compensation (401k,
stock shares, etc) revoked with no form of recompense. Find a designer who's head isn't so far up his own *** that he can actually design a reasonably functioning machine.

Sorry that you are getting these issues

However for the first 4 issues a powercycle can help, You can do this by holding down the powerbutton on your console until it turns off (This takes approx 10 seconds). This clears the cache and resets the network on the Xbox one
(not the settings)

Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console

As for the party chat you might want to check your NAT and the person you are trying to connect with their NAT, if they are still open as you mentioned above the powercycle should also fix that problem.

 

9 years of Xbox live and i m thinking migrate to PS4 ...

This console is a total Fail !

@Feared Nightmare; if you read the entire post, you'll notice I stated that I had followed the troubleshooting instructions, running a powercycle is one of the first things I do, in fact it is one of things I have to REGULARLY do in order to make the Xbone
function, I generally cannot make party chat work correctly without doing that at LEAST twice.

Do not tell me to power-cycle, having to power-cycle every single time I want to use the machine does not classify as "properly functioning."

As for the NAT settings, mine are open, and I have seen several of my friends settings open correctly as well in real life at their homes. It's not our connections, it's Microsoft's, and it's been painfully obvious for a year now. Either fix the network
or start offering people refunds for their Xbox Live and/or Xbox One's, because adequate product service is not being even poorly provided.

I'm not saying you have to perform a powercycle and I was just making sure it was in fact a powercycle and not an ordinary turn off.

Could you please state which troubleshooting steps you've already used ? There might be one you overlooked which might help.

 

Power cycles, NAT settings set to open, no firewalls, no security blocks, etc. Friends have done the same, seen the NAT settings at their home as well. Re-logging into account before using apps, not auto-logging in at start. Have tried joining party from
voice command, friends list join-party, invited by friend, etc.

Get out of the mindset that there's some other "troubleshooting" to be done. The fact is that we should not have to deal with these ridiculous measures just to get the next-gen console to function at a level less than acceptable. It's not us customers, it's
Xbox, it's Microsoft; quit living in denial and accept the blame that the console is garbage.

Until Microsoft accepts the responsibility for the atrocity of the Xbox One, they're no better than EA Games.

 

Same thing happening to us. Entirely frustrated. You don't spend money on something only to encounter problems after DAYS of having it and no resolution in sight. WTF.

 

I just went to this forum for the first time to see if me and my friends are the only people frustrated and STUNNED that this half a grand console we paid for from the billion dollar company IS THE WORST PERFORMING CONSOLE OUT OF THE BOX EVER IN HISTORY.


Seriously. Ever remember a brand new console not being able to even be turned on because the controller loses sync? Nope. If you couldnt make it wireless and function, admit it and plug a cord in.

Problems:

Go to far from xbox? Oh now not only is the controller off, but you can't just turn it popping back on all know you will have to shut down your console unplug your batteries and your cord to the console resync everything because its a stupid failing piece
of trash and cant overcome such an unforseen scenario.

Wanna party up with friends? Well even with only 2 people, one is gauranteed to not have a mic icon and be stuck permanently in game chat. Want to party w more than 1 other? Oh fn forget that hell of multiple restarts just to TURN ON A CONSOLE AND PLAY.

All the menus are slow and rediculous. I just got my One in December. How long will it take to patch such a horrid interface?

Also, why keep my last game still loaded up on my screen when I turn it back on? For my convenience? No, becausethe *** thing will say im not logged in to live despite being logged in already. Or the game will disco from online servers. Both scenarios
require the same: manually close the game and start it again..

So how about you just close my bleepin game for me when I shut off my console..CAN YOU DO THAT AT LEAST?

lol I could go on and on, but after a friend and I literally deciding to try to play for just 30 minutes, half of that was spent unsuccessfully even getting into an Advanced Warfare party OR xbox live party.

We eventually shook our heads and said screw it. Too much hassle.

Btw, this is a PLUG IN AND PLAY CONSOLE right?

Had to vent. I paid hundreds of dollars on something that performs like an alpha build of a first run test product.

Btw, any bloody reason why EVEN THE XBOX 360 ALLOWS FOR USE OF VOICE MESSAGES BUT NOT THIS "NEXT GEN" console?

Wtf is WRONGGG with you people? How did this perform in public demos?

Did no one flip the hell out or even ask why were going back in freegin time here and losing a feature?

Do you think we would RATHER TYPE?!?!?! And dont even mention smart glass to me as an easier way to type. I dont want to freakin type! Did you give me a keyboard and mouse with this console? Am I on a pc that somehow doesn't have mic capabilities?

Dont make us type ffs and dont make me have to use another piece of hardware of my own to make better use of yours.
