Worst console ever

I've had my Xbox one (Worst name ever) for about 6 months now and in that time it's has deleted 2 save games that I have put over 40 hours into. This teamed with extremely large updates that can take days and huge games that fill the 500 gb hard drive with
5 games make this by far the worst gaming experience of my life!!!! Cloud storage never backs my days up the xbox tried to keep games going when you turn the console off and just corrupts itself. I want to sell this pos but don't want to put the burden on
another gamer contemplating just taking a hammer to it what a waste of time and money.

No matter what console you get, games are big and they will fill a 500gb hdd quickly.

If updates and installs take a long time I would suggest looking into upgrading your ISP.

Not sure what’s happening with your saves as I’ve never encountered that issue. I would however turn the auto updating option off.

 

you can install some xbox one games without internet fall out 4 elder scrolls skyrim and skip the update or do it later

 

Xbox One has this thing called..... external HDD support. Just get a 1TB or so HDD and connect it up. Then you can install the games to that.

Cloud storage has it's limitations and can be expensive to operate. And it means you have to be online in order to access it. Games are lot larger in file size this gen with Xbox and PS. A reason why is game developers do not have to compress so much like
with last gen where Xbox and PS only had 512MB memory and weaker hardware. Also this generation has better graphics and textures compared with last gen, and that amount of data is why you have larger file sizes.

Another option is to upgrade your internet. I had Vodafone high speed 100mb/s download and 10mb/s upload speed. If you're rocking on 3-20mb/s download speed, or if you don't have Unlimited Data, you need to upgrade mate, or if possible move to a better area
with better ISP's. Though this depends on your circumstances. Vodafone NZ charges like NZ$50 for 80GB data and NZ$60 for Unlimited Data. And if you go over your limit, it's like $1/GB or you are slowed down to dial up speed for the rest of the month. You can
tell what plan people would go for, Unlimited. And plus 10mb/s upload speed is handy for if you upload 1080p videos to share on YouTube, which has over 100 million users. ADSL Broadband is bad broadband, as it averages 3-20mb/s download and seriously struggles
especially in the upload department, averaging 0.9mb/s <---- it's pretty much as bad as dial up speed (the upload speed).

You will be given the option while installing the game to Update Now or Update Later. Choose Update Later. Otherwise buy disc games and don't connect your console to the net. That way you won't be spammed with any "I want ta update" messages. However that's
easier said than done. Because several disc version games only have like half the game installed on the disc (due to the type of Blu-ray disc storage capacity Microsoft incorporates, game developers may not be able to fit the whole game onto one disc, and
many of them don't want to make a disc 2. So what they do is put as much as possible of the game onto a disc, and then get you to go online XBL, see an update, that's an indication that that update will contain the remaining files for that game). This is not
Microsoft's fault, but the game developers.... go tell them to make file sizes for their games less kwazy.
