Worried about Achievements, get it right MS!

So, i'm not sure if you are all aware, but Achievements on Xbox One have a few issues for some users. For example, i had to wait 10 days for the Titanfall Gen 10 Achievement to unlock for me after i earned it, there is also reports of Achievements just randomly
unlocking without earning them. Now as someone who takes my Achievements seriously, i don't want to see mine get messed up by some glitch or bug in the Achievement app and then never have them fixed for me by MS, its a worrying situation for me. And weather
you care about Achievements or not, we should still expect basic functionality of Xbox and Achievements to work on Xbox One which we paid big money for. Please don't assume i am a nerd or overreacting, i am concerned about a feature i love on Xbox One and
i am worried about my Account which i spend hundreds on getting glitched out, or my Achievements ruined, its a legitimate concern and one we should not have after paying hundreds for a Console where basic functionality like Achievements where promised!

Have you had ANY issues with Achievements on Xbox One? whats your thoughts on this subject? i would love to know, thanks!

Looking for players for achievements

Why are you so worried about achievements. They mean nothing. Expecially when you manipulate the game to get it. Achievements should be a reflection of your gameplay not your boosting.

 

My achievements don't pop up right away.

I use to have a original xbox 360 and everytime Im supposed to get an achievement it pops up right away. I have a slim now and they pop up about 3 seconds slower. Will Xbox think Im cheating or something? I don't want to get introuble for this. Its not really
a big deal Im just a little worried.

 

I would play this by ear, personally. For the most part, the achievement app works just fine. If you have issues with a particular achievement for whatever reason, then contact MS support about it so they become aware of the issue and can take steps to resolve
it.

Sure, there's a bug in Just Dance 2014, where it erroneously gives stars to songs completed with Sweat Mode activated. This means, say you're trying for the "all songs at 3 stars" achievement, you can have all songs showing 3 stars or better, but in reality
only some of them count towards the actual achievement. (The solution is to redo every single song again to 3 stars, in order, until you earn a legit 3 without Sweat Mode activated) Same thing for "all songs at 5 stars"

 

The issues you've described have even been around on the 360 and my list is perfectly fine. I actually do think you're slightly overacting, I mean it must be obvious that I love achievements and I'm not stressing that the system doesn't work...

 

Sorry but the glitches with achievements on Xbox One are the same as those on the 360. Now wether it's the developers fault or Microsoft's, I have no idea. But considering the developers actually code the games I would look in their direction.

 

@Shaggy @Digital i never once had an Achievement not unlock on 360, i never heard of it, now as you may know people like ourselves take Achievements seriously, and i hope you can understand why i would be worried some what after experiencing the issue i
described, i love Xbox and all but i will express concern over features i love

 

Fair enough you've got concerns, I am telling you now though that you needn't have those worries.

Shaggy, meet left 4 dead, left 4 dead meet shaggy, to get some of those achievements to unlock I had to go through extraordinary things and I know there's more then just that game I experienced achievements not unlocking on the 360.

Also more recently Call of Duty ghosts has issues on the Xbox One version if you've played the 360 version first as your stats go between consoles.

What you really need to be more concerned about is when developers shut down serves because glicthed achievements usually get fixed or there is a work around. When there's no servers, you can't get online achievements, ever.

 

In Minecraft Xbox 360, it gave me the wolf achievement for taming 5 dogs when I only tamed 4 dogs. I eventually tamed the 5th. In Minecraft Xbox 360 when I built 500m of rail in a straight line and travelled it, it didn't give me the on the rail achievement.
I had to build it 514m before it gave it to me. In Halo 4, you get an achievement for wining 20 multiplayer matches. But I had to win 24 multiplayer matches before it gave me the achievement. Some said they didn't get theirs until they won 30 or 50 multiplayer
matches. Achievements are probably coded by game developers but am sure M plays a part in it. Some peps said especially for Halo 4 that the achievement system counts things differently to what you may see. In Happy Wars, it doesn't give some achievements until
after you successfully finish a multiplayer match like reach round 20 or play all three upgraded classes at least once in a multiplayer match. In Halo Reach with the jet packing achievement and kill 3 enemies is it while jet packing, I played Firefight on
normal or harder. It didn't give it to me the first time but gave it to me the 2nd time because I used that gun which gets an orbital ship to fire a super weapon at wherever you aim and fire the target locator gun thing. It hit 3 enemies and it gave me the
achievement.

For Xbox 1 some say you may need to clear the cache by doing a Hard Rest. Or shutdown the console start it up again and launch the game and then they get the achievement. Otherwise contact Xbox Support with the situation.

 

If Microsoft is serious about resetting your Gamerscore to zero if you deliberately cheat with getting achievements, then I'm sure they're serious about accurately recording your achievement score as well.

 

I don't take achievements "seriously", I just like them. My only issues thus far with the One and achievements: Watch Dogs, disarm 10 people trying to contact the authorities on you. It unlocked about 7 hours after I had done it, while I watching Netflix.
Plants vs. Zombies, Vanquish a Plant. Smartglass says I have done it 100%, but it never unlocked.

 

i love my achievements and i got two for cod ghost. acquire all intel on mayday and shoot all hives in invasion then scan an obelisk. i got both of those friday and its monday, still hasn't registered yet. please fix this soon

 

5 days straight without any XboX one achievements popping! What the friggin frak is the deal MS? Was that an update or a worm? Help me Major Nelson.... you're my only hope.
