Worms Battleground

I'll wait until fall/ winter when it will be either discounted or free with GwG

 

...but I want people to play with now!

 

...anyways, for those of you who are NEW to the Worms franchise, this is just for you:

 

Its a must pass at $24.99. I was expecting at the most 19.99. But praise your savior for GwG #wait

 

My earliest Worms days were on the Amiga. Fond memories. Then played it on the Playstation which had the FMV cut scenes. Blown away.

 

While I was playing a tip came up saying I could use voice commands to select weapons... but no further information. I tried all the logical ones I could think of but no joy. Any of you guys worked it out?

 

You can use typical voice commands like watching a movie:

Xbox Pause - pauses the game.

Xbox Play - unpauses the game.

Xbox Show Menu - shows the menu.

Etc.

Those are the only voice commands I've been able to get to work with Worms Battlegrounds.

That being said, for those of you who have picked it up, I'd like to hear your thoughts - especially since there seem to be so many people here who say it's not worth the price (I personally think it is). Also, what's your Team's name and your worms' names?

My team is called the "Sci-Fi Rejects" and includes:

Darth Tater

Captain Jerk

The Proctor

The Master Cheap

Robosop

Commander Peppered

The Nylons

Arthur Bent

See if you can name who these characters are based upon and where they're from.

 

Its funny how with the 360 era & digital releases (arcade style) we would jump at a $10 game but question the purchase if it is $15. I did this a lot as did friends and I've seen plenty of posts over the years the same. Now it'll be a purchase at $20 & wait
to see for $25. Crazy how much a $5 difference can make to many.

I didn't purchase the game only because I already have too many games distracting me. Always good to save a game for a later purchase, or yeah, best case scenario a GwG option.

 

I would love to pick this up on sale. I have fond memories playing Armageddon back on pc. $25 is way too steep!

 

Love it, worth every penny, full map creator and editor, leagues clans lots of customisation, worth £19.99 and story is epic.

 

I can't believe how many people are complaining about the price...This IS next gen afterall. Don't expect to constantly see 10-15$ arcade games when they are working with higher end tech. I got it day one and having been an avid worms player as well as long
time fan, I can say it comes with a ton of content. Usually we've never been able to create a map, now you've got the full editor, plus more customizations, clans and a revamped multiplayer.. Sure it may come with GwG EVENTUALLY, but I can assure you it wont
be for quite some time with all the games already on XB1A. (Xbox One Arcade).

Max or w/e that game is called and Halo: Spartan Assault already have Junes lineup filled.

Basically what I'm trying to say is that the days of 10-20$ arcade games are over.

Edit: Also to whoever said the Kinect Voice options being in the game and was curious as to how to select a weapon using it. I have yet to figure it out. Still trying. Searching for it is how I ended up here.

 

If it were $10 then yes, but there's no way im paying $25.

 

Welcome to next gen, don't want to pay stick with old gen

 

I told myself I wasn't going to buy it, but I bought it anyways. Hopefully it doesn't suck. =(

 

Best worms game ever ...

Titanfall....Ryse ... Killzone ...Knack .... gathering dust ... I WILL ..complete Worms campaign ..

... Tho I may smash up my living room a few times ...
