World of Tanks isn't free

As some of you know the beloved World of Tanks you may/not liked or played the game via 360 is free, but I also thought it would be on Xbox One nope. I don't like their of a game that was on 360 cost money (that is $48), but I may not buy
it maybe if it was atleast $20 maybe but what are your guys thoughts on this? Should it be free

So last night this went up, and I believe that laws require advertising pledges to be honoured, so I was wondering if there was a way I could claim my free Brazilian M41b for World of Tanks Xbox One

 

I wouldn't play it even if it was free I had the 360 version for like 15 minutes and hated it

 

I love playing tank games, but what turned down from world of tanks, is the one life BS

If it had matches/game modes with more lives I would have played it more.

I like tanks too but I don't really like multiplayer only games to begin with and it seemed too one dimensional

 

From everything that I can see, the game appears to be free. Could you provide a link to what you are referencing as costing $48? The only thing I see with a $48 price is the Battalion pack, which is only an add-on package and is certainly not necessary
to play the game.

 

He could be referring to a retail copy. It costs money for a physical copy.

 

I haven't heard about WoT being pay-to-play either. I think the OP is misinformed.

 

It is free to play. Littered with micro-transactions though. No shock really.

 

Yeah, I know about the micro-transactions - those don't prevent you from playing.

World of tanks is free to play. The $48.00 is for the battalion pack which comes with 3 premium tanks and other goodies that you do not have to buy if you don't want too.

Also. As far as this statement goes.

The whole point of this game is to use teamwork and think a little bit to play the game. This is not a run and gun game but a teamwork and situational awareness game. I guess that's why a lot of the old folks like myself play it.

You have 1 "life" in the battle, play it wisely, use your head and help your team to victory. Will you survive every battle ? Of course not, nobody does. If you get taken out either watch the other tanks and try to learn something or move on to the next
battle in a different tank. Do some research on the game, strong and weak points on the tanks, weak spots for each tank so you know where to shoot the enemy and what to protect on your tank. Research the maps so you know where you can find good cover when
needed. This game is a lot more involved than most people realize. This isn't a twitch shooter, knowledge is power. Check out the website, a lot of good info there.

 

Hi OP.

You can still play "World Of Tanks" for free.

Just don't download any premium content.

Also if you want to get more out of the game, consider the other tanks that spawn around you and are the same colour as you on the map... to be MEMBERS OF YOUR TEAM.

Instead of booting it over to the enemies territory all by yourself and then complaining when you lose a 6 v 1 battle, hang back with your Team Mates and see what happens when you work together to achieve the objectives.
