    World of tanks disabling Game disc reading


    Hi all, I have just messaged World of Tanks regarding an issue with their game but thought I would check if anyone here was having the same issues with the latest update of World Of Tanks.

    I play WOT on XBOXone. On Saturday 5th November an update installed on my xbox for WOT. Since then my xbox no longer reads xbox one Game discs.

    I uninstalled WOT from my xbox and it started reading the discs again. Upon re-installing WOT the problem started.

    My version of software on xboxone is 10.0.14393.1065

    I don't know the version number of WOT however it was re-installed 07/11/2016.

    All blueray movie discs read without any issues. I have tested this with several xbox games as well and can confirm it does not read any of them whilst WOT is installed.

    The error returned by the xboxone is

    Restart the app. then try again

    Make sure you are using an xbox one game, a music CD, or a movie on Blu-Ray or DVD. (0x80820002)

    This does not really help diagnose the problem since as already stated when I insert movies or CD's they play automatically.

    Any Ideas?

    You would need to be in the beta.

    They've just released the achievements for WoT 360 so an actual release shouldn't be to far away now.

    Upon further testing after a further uninstall and restart of the xboxone the problem is persisting. Seems it may not be WOT afterall that is causing my issue.

    WoT is full of problems, most of them are UN-avoidable!

    If you're looking for a "real" tank simulator game; then World of Tanks is not for you; they dont advertise it as being a realistic tank simulator; forget about spotting or inaccuracy of the shooting; in the real world tanks get hit once and they're toast.

    As per the
    World of Tanks on Xbox 360 closure     article "Players who sign in to World of Tanks on Xbox One with the same account they used to play World of Tanks on Xbox 360 will automatically see their items and progress available within the game."

    It sounds like you've already saved your World of Tanks game progress to the cloud on the Xbox 360, so after you've signed in with your gamertag on your new Xbox One, navigate to the Xbox store and download the Xbox One version of World of Tanks for free. Once World of Tanks is downloaded, open the game and your tanks and game progress from the Xbox 360 should synchronize.
