World created in creative mode, except it wasn't

I went through the tutorial (to see if there was new stuff) for a bit and got some achievements, but then died somewhere off in the wild so just restarted and generated a new world to spend my time in.

I played through my new world for a while, but then noticed I hadn't gotten the achievement for wearing full iron armour. I though maybe it had to all be full condition, so made a whole new set and still no achievement. I then tried eating rotten flesh when
starving and nothing, did the 16 wools and nothing, found diamond and nothing!

Then today I go to jump back in I get a message pop up which says "This world was created in creative mode so all achievements are off", or words to that effect. Except it wasn't, I never play in creative mode (well, I did once on PC) so do the worlds in
Minecraft One all load in creative mode by default somehow? I take it there's no way to undo it so everything I built and collected in that world is all useless now too.

So far, great start to the One experience. Looks like it'll be shorter lived than PC and 360 versions.

Can't use items in creative mode.

Still having this problem on NEW worlds. I can, however, go into worlds I created before the update and use creative mode in them. I am having no problems with these worlds crashing like I have seen on other posts on the forums. Still, I can not use creative
mode on any new worlds I try.

Hey ANSI. Do you know if you'll be able to use the "creative mode" or other updates on already created worlds or will you need to create a whole new game?

 

you probably accidentaly switched it to creative. As far as your last sentence is concerned both pc and 360 minecraft are still going strong.

 

That's what I meant, though reading it back it does look like "even shorter lived". I meant "this will be a lot shorter lived than expected, given the time I've spent on the other two".
