Workaround for Xbox 360 save data transfer to Xbox One

I just installed Fallout 3 and New Vegas onto my Xbox One using their disks. I wanted to move my old 360 data for both games over onto my One too, but when I went to set up my 360 to find the files and move them, it RRoD'd for over heating.

Is there any way I can connect my 360's HDD up to the One (or a computer) to pull the data off of it? I'd prefer to not invest lots of money into this endeavor.

Ideas I though of:

Using a Data Transfer cable to connect the HDD to the One.

Using a double ended USB A cable to just connect the two consoles. (But IDK if this will work because of the RRoD)

Opening the housing for the 360 and blowing a fan in it to "cool it off" (Not sure if that'll work though seeing how the fans themselves arent spinning, if the console will recognize that and shut down)

I have quite a bit of gameplay invested in 3 and New Vegas that I'd like to preserve and resume if possible. Thanks

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you want to transfer data from 360 save to Xbox one backward compatible. The only way to do this is through the cloud. Also as there is mention of opening console I will be locking this thread as it is

Hi there, what can be transferred from Xbox 360 to Xbox one, is your Xbox live profile and your save data. Go to storage on your Xbox 360 and upload every save data you need to your Xbox cloud. After that just download your Xbox one profile, All your Xbox
360 games save data, achievements, friends and digital games will be transferred. If you have another question, I'm here to help!

It looks like you CAN bring your save data to the XB1.

Hopefully that is just not UT data.

You cannot unfortunately unless you are using cloud saved data which you can if you are using a Xbox 360 to transfer game data to Xbox One.

Currently the cloud is the only way to transfer saves from the 360 to the One. The data transfer cable is only meant to transfer data between 360 hard drives.
