    Won’t Update


    My Xbox one would not sign into my profile, literally tried everything bit the bullet and factory reset it. Now it cannot get it set up because when i get to the update part it gives me an error code and says I need to update to use the console but “something
    went wrong.” Tried to look up the error code on here and it says it dosent exist. ??? Im at a loss for what to do here ive reset my wifi and the xbox itself multiple times and left it unplugged over night. Do I get need to get a new console?

    I had the same problem before. It wasn't hard to fix, however. I just reset my console, and added my profile back onto the xbox, and it didn't delete anything.

    Thank you, do you have an external hard drive plugged in? If none, simply proceed with performing an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

    1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

    2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

    3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.
