    Wont update system with the manual usb way.


    ive been trying to update my xbox 360s with a sandisk 16gb flashdrive using the steps shown in the support. but when the update popup shows up I hit yes but it gives me the error code:417f-42fe-1600-267f-c000-0185 after it shows it extracting the update
    and updating the system. can some one please help me?

    Error Installing Update

    I carefully followed the instructions for doing a manual install, but the system never prompted me to install the update (the last step in the linked instructions). I tried both the USB and CD methods. By the way, my system currently has Dashboard 2.0.14715.0.

    Neil did the issue occur when you was downloading the system update?

    If yes, what if you try the manual method via the USB

    Try to update manually with a USB but going to
    www.xbox.com/system-update-usb     thats a direct link to download the update file. Move it to a usb and plug it into your xbox.

    via USB.
