Won't log in to Xbox Live even though I have an account

You may want to try signing all profiles out and clearing the cache, To clear the cache just follow the steps here - Clear the cache on
Xbox 360. I would also sign in on a desktop site and confirm that all your info is set properly and has been verified.

Once you have done what @Cowgrlzroc suggested and you still having issues, try looking at your home network. The home network, might be the cause..

Sorry to hear about your connection issues. There are a couple of troubleshooting steps you can take. Try power cycling the Xbox. Press and hold the power button on the console until the console shuts off. Unplug the power cable for at least 10 seconds.
While doing this step, I also unplug the power cable to my router to reset the network. Plug everything back in and restart. Attempt your login.

If that doesn't work, delete your profiles from the Xbox, power cycle again, and re-add your accounts. Let us know if this works.

If you have turned on 2 step authentication for Xbox 360, the password that you used previously might not be working because of this. If so, it may be worth trying the following:

Sign out of your profile, and then go to Settings > Storage >Profiles. From here, delete your profile ONLY.

In your web browser, try signing into the email account that you are trying to use. If you are successful, visit this page:

https://account.live.com/proofs/manage

From there, go to the 'App Passwords' section and choose 'Create a new app password'. You will see a long code on screen - keep this up, as you will need it shortly.

Go back to your 360 and choose 'Download Profile' using your email address, and when you go to enter your password, put this long code in, instead.

From there, your profile should begin downloading and once complete, you will be able to play as usual.

I had it on my email, the one I use for my windows live. But it still won't let me log in even though I type in the password I have for that Microsoft account. Is it really lost?
