Won't let me watch Nightfall

I've had the game since the release and have tried almost all troubleshooting steps...even going so far as to restire my Xbox to factory settings uninstalling everything reinstalling it and even resetting up my internet connection...nothing. I just wanna
watch the show...without an app telling me to buy something I've already purchased.

Master Chief Collection: Halo Nightfall won't play.

Having a similar if not the exact same issue. I have the hard copy of MCC, installed the Halo Channel, and used the code included with the game to get Nightfall. When I open the Halo Channel and go to Nightfall, the only option it gives is to Buy Nightfall.
Even when I hit that button though, it takes me to Nightfall in the MS Store and says I already bought it. Even so, it won't let me play it, it still says Buy Nightfall. WTF?

 

Is Halo: The Master Chief Collection completely broken?

GAME IS GARBAGE!

- halo 2 won't save checkpoints if you "resume"

- matchmaking broken

- can't watch POS nightfall because the menu music LITERALLY WON'T STOP PLAYING.

Oh my god I've never seen such unprofessional garbage.

 

Did you enter the code that came in the box? I made the same mistake. There is a code inside the box if you bought the disc version.

 

That was the second thing I checked as soon as I opened the case lol unfortunately it still does not work. Any other suggestions?
