Won't let me redeem gift cards

    When I try to redeem the code on gift card it says,

    Something went wrong

    I can't use a Xbox 12 month gift card

    every ime that I redeem a Xbox 12 month gift card that hasn't been used it won't let me redeem it.

    I just recently got enough points to get a $5 Xbox Gift Card. I don't have a phone and my parents won't let me use theirs to redeem the actual card. Is there any way I can redeem it without having to use a phone?

    Which country are you in? US dollar cards can't be redeemed if your account is in a different currency (as I found out when I tried to redeem a US$ gift card given to me on a UK£ account) so the store most likely won't let you buy one.

    Quick question could you redeem all your gift cards on 1 account at once or you have to use it little by little?
    So Xbox account has a limit of $1000. You can redeem as many cards as you want, but if you would exceed $1000 it won't let you redeem any more cards till your balance goes down. For example, if you are at $905 and try to add $100, it will give you an error message.

    Your gift card is still good, but the system won't let you redeem it till you spend some.
