Won't let me purchase any backwards compatible game

When I tried to purchase Morrowind, it said, "You have no valid payment options on file." I then tried to buy another backwards compatible game and got the same message. I tried using a credit card and the same message appeared. Any idea why?

I bought a game on my Xbox one that is backwards compatible and it is black ops 2 but it won't let me play on my account it won't let me sign in to my account

Hi, you won't have much luck I'm afraid, any backwards compatible digital purchases have to be using the same account that purchased them or was used to redeem a download code in your case. The game must also be on the official list of backwards compatible
games which and I don't see Skyrim on that list.

This can sometimes be caused by an expired payment option. Just in case that's what you're experiencing here, try

Are you trying to do this through the Xbox itself?

Try doing it from the Xbox.com store instead and see if that gives you a different result.

Sometimes that helps.
