Won't let me play Advanced Warfare Multiplayer

I recently downloaded AW(advanced warfare) and I have a year of xbox live in my account on xbox one. When I go onto multiplayer on AW it tells me to log into my account. I do that and it says xbox live cant connect at this time. It also doesn't
even let me click on anything else except local multiplayer. I went and checked my connection and it says everything's fine except xbox live is not available at this time. I don't know what to do! Also the game download is only 36% and it lets me play
the campaign and everything else with the game except multiplayer. Do you think it's got to do with the download? Lastly on the multiplayer main menu it has a downloading content bar. It is half way and it hardly ever moves! PLS HELP!!

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Update

Just this morning I got an update for "advanced warfare" I did the update and clicked on "multiplayer". Now it won't let me participate in any multiplayer games its stuck in spectator mode. Can anyone tell me whats going on?

join multiplayer matches. Can anyone tell me whats going on?

 

If the game has not been fully downloaded then that will be why you are experiencing the issue. You'll need to wait until the download is complete.

If it has not completed or moved by the time you see my post then please cancel the installation, go to Settings>Disc & Blu Ray and click Clear Persistent Storage 3 times then hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down.

When the console starts up again try the download again.
