Won't let me change gamertag

    Won't let me change gamertag


    I wanted to change my xbox gamer tag and I went to the tab and found a name that was available and clicked confirm, that didn't change it at all and when I went back and tried to try again I had to pay.

    It won't let me change gamertag, or add billing information! Just gives me a error.

    Changing my Gamertag.

    I want to change my Gamertag to "Jiggz" but it won't let me. I have searched online, on the Xbox 360, and on the Xbox One. They all said it was not valid or can not be found. When I go to change my Gamertag it says it is reserved. I have been with Microsoft
    for 6 years and have waited years for this Gamertag, and now it won't let me change it.

    There are no free gamertag changes unless your tag was a recent system assigned tag. Hope this helps.

    I left Preview Alpha, did a factory restart, ran through setup, then tried to change my GT and succeeded. I am using an Xbox One X.

    its been an issue all day, i have chatted with support and they have escalated it but we just have to wait.

    they announced 30 minutes ago the issue was resolved, they actually fixed it about an hour ago, you didnt need to reset the console as it was an issue on their side.
    Yep it’s fixed! Just worked for me.
