Won't let me add or remove friends on Xbox one S

Hi,

I've had my xbox for about 6 months and overall its been pretty good, although one problem I've had from the start was adding and removing friends. I've tried and tried over to remove a friend but it just wont let me do it, I would click on the remove friend
button and it would just act like I havent touched anything. the only thing I can click is block and submit; I can't even favourite friends.

Looking for some answers or a way to fix this.

cant add or delete friends HELP !!

i am trying to add one of my friends on xbox but it wont let me add him nor can he add me i have also discovered i cannot remove friends as well... have i clicked a button or something... please anyone have a solution

 

Won't let me add a friend!

I'm trying to add my gamertag to my sons friends list but says that we are already friends? but go onto his friends list and I'm not there! I've tried numerous things, reset the xbox, reset the router, changed his privacy settings, deleted my profile off
the console nothing makes a difference. Any ideas as to why this is?

Have you checked out your accounts Privacy & Online Safety settings? One of your settings may be preventing you from adding people.
