Won't connect to live but connections are all good?

Posted this over on the microsoft forums, they sent me here. Let me just say that yes, I'm aware that there are Live Services issues right now - but this problem started happening two to three days ago.

A few days ago I turned my xbone on and it wouldn't connect to live and hasn't been able to connect again since and it's getting frustrating.

I've tried restarting it. Using the controller to turn it off, using the power off option on the left side bar, and by unplugging it from the wall - I ended up leaving it unplugged for the whole night as a matter of fact because the weather network was calling
for thunder. I've tried updating it, it says that it's got the most recent update. I've done all the connection tests and they all say that the Xbox is connected to the internet and multiplayer. I've tried hitting the big 'Connect To Live' button on the right
side of the home screen. My live subscription isn't up until the beginning of June of 2017. I've tried deleting my wireless network from my console and setting it back up. It doesn't have anything to do with my router because I can connect to Live on my 360,
which I used yesterday to watch Netflix. I've tried googling this but I've come up empty - either the solution calls for me to have some sort of error code to start from or I've already tried the solution and nothing's happened.

Please please please someone help me.

is anyone else having problems with xbox live today? mine won't connect ev en though all the internet connections are up and running.

any ideas?

i deleted my profile and went to restore it and now my connection won't connect to xbox live

it will connect to the internet (2 out of three) but then won't connect to xbox live

I have tried resetting the router but it didn't do anything

 

Nevermind everyone. Apparently literally the simplest fix was the only one that I forgot.

I never tried signing out of my profile and signing back in - that fixed it.

 

try and just sign out of your profile , then right back in.......if its still bad , try this below.....

go into settings and accounts and remove all the profiles , (make sure you have the email and password to get them back ) after you remove the profiles , shut the xbox down by holding the xbox logo on the console for 8 seconds till it powers down , while
it is off , unplug your modem and router for 30 seconds to clear them also , plug the modem and router back up and when they are online , turn the xbox back on , when it is all the way up , re add your main profile ...it may sit there and sync a little while
but all SHOULD be good afterwards ...

 

Had same issue. Just signed out of my profile and signed back in. Had to re-enter my password and a half-dozen identity verification codes, but that got it working.

It sounds like you might not have the latest console update yet and It's also possible the new update that released yesterday for everyone hasn't reached your console yet. You can force the update by following these steps.

1. Scroll left from Home to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select All Settings.
4. Select System.
5. Select Console info & updates.
6. Select Update Console (if available).

As mentioned previously, signing out and back in will fix this error in most cases, but the latest update fixes this problem fully.
