    Won't boot up after power outage


    On December 23rd, a power outage occurred in my area. After the power came back on I went to go play my One. I pressed the power button and it turned on for 2 seconds then black. The power brick is orange and when I turn it on, the white light only lasts
    2 seconds also. I've tried all remedies to no avail. Is this just a power supply issue or is my One officially dead?

    xbox one powers on but just black screen after a power outage by a thunderstorm

    i was watching netflix on my xbox and there was a power outage in my area due to a thunderstorm and now my xbox one will turn on but won't load anything up just a black screen like hdmi is not plugged up...i've changed hdmi cord and still same thing . i've
    unplugged power box . tried cold boot.. by pressing on power button for 10 sec... is there anything else i can do ...

    Same thing with me, Turned it on at my GF house and the console just loaded then just black screen and shut off.

    Bought a "new" one (discovered it was a used console sold at walmart for FULL retail price, returning it right away) Got the new one, plugged it all in and it started up, shut off. Started up again and just simply shut off, Figured out the solution was to
    remove the power box, unplug it and replug it and then insert it into a outlet, plug it into the console and wait a few seconds and start her up. Might take a few tries but it loads.

    Thanks for the reply! I've tried power cycling and trying other wall outlets, but nothing has worked. The power supply still stays solid orange. I think I'm going to look for a replacement and hopefully that's it, I don't think there's much more I can do as is.

    Ah, these seems like it may be the issue. I'm gonna look for a replacement to see if it was just the power supply, and hopefully not the console itself. Thanks!
