Won't allow me to play Payday 3 because it says i need permission from the microsoft family...

We understand that you are having trouble playing Payday 3 due to a permission issue with your Microsoft family account. I'll be happy to assist you with this.

If you're still not part on family group you should need to look for an adult account that can create a family with your account. Because only an organizer in an Xbox family group can manage settings for members who are in the family group. Kids can only see (and not manage) their own settings.



To manage your child account and grant permission to play Payday 3, you can follow these steps:



1. Sign in to your Microsoft account at account.microsoft.com/family.

2. Select the child account that you want to manage.

3. Under the "Content restrictions" section, click on "Apps, games & media".

4. Scroll down to the "Games" section and make sure that the "Allow" option is selected.

5. If you want to restrict access to specific games, you can click on "Set specific games" and choose which games your child can play.

6. Once you have made the necessary changes, click on "Save" to apply the settings.



After you have granted permission to play Payday 3, you may need to sign out and sign back in to your account for the changes to take effect.

I have Microsoft 365 with both computers on the licence. I was finally able (I think?) to get her email linked to microsoft (it assigned a name for XBox? Or did it link to someone else's?). I put money on her account to buy the game but now it won't because it says she doesn't have permission (needs a parent or guardian to make purchases) but I can't find a setting that allows me to allow that so I can get the game purchased on her machine for her to play. Would it be easier to just buy it on Amazon because this is way harder than it needs to be.

The problem is my brother was removed from my family months ago.

He was removed and deleted from my Xbox one because my parental settings prevented him from playing x360 games and content.

Problem #2 is that Microsoft allows other adults to break up a family

Problem #3 Microsoft does not give control to the parents of the kids so basically this system allows "kidnapping"

I can't log into my brothers profile because his profile is not on my console nor can I add him because I don't have his password or the text password which is good for security.

Microsoft needs to pair kids with one to two parents and not allow parents to be removed from a family. That's an oversight.

As of now I'm stuck and my kids are stuck until he comes back into town.

We have separate accounts under a family account that is theoretically supposed to allow me to manage his permissions. However, Microsoft works differently than any other family account I have, where it just doesn't work.
