Wondering why I went from Level 43 to Level 1 in Call of Duty 4

I was playing Call of Duty 4 yesterday in a pick up game and a kid with the gamer tag
[Mod Removed] was playing in my game ... I reported him for cheating because of the things he was doing ..and things that I couldn't do which I could do the previous game I played .. I got kicked out of the game and noticed that my Level
went from 43 to 1 ... and now I can't play multi player game on Call of Duty 4 with my friends ... And after I got kicked out of the game I kept being sent back to the dashboard no matter what I did ... I am just wondering what is going on with my account
... And why I was kicked down to Level 1 ...

On my cod4 I am somehow negative 2billion points on my xbox live profile and can't rank up

Lost all progress

hi, when I played call off duty modern warfare 3 live om my xbox 360 last night my account suddenly went down to level 1 from level 80. Making me lose all progress and friends. Can you please give me back my level and weapons and so on? Regards SchizzoRaccon

 

First let me start by saying naming and shaming are against the rules here on the forums. you were likely the victim of some time of hack to your profile/account. you did right by reporting the user in question, leave it to the enforcement team to investigate.

@VASHTA NER4DA - No one was hacked. Soccer4Life3 played in a modded lobby and got his level changed. He received negative exp points which dropped his level down to 1. This happens unfortunately and there is nothing that Microsoft can do. This is up
to the developer and they are the ones to be contacted. I don't think that they will do anything though since this has been going on for years and the OP is out of luck. The gamertag will only be able to play in matches he is invited to by his friends. If
you find yourself in a modded lobby you need to exit to the dashboard right away.

 

Can you explain to me what a modded lobby is? And my older brother playes this game all the time and this has never happened to him ...

 

I should Clarify my original response your Xbox account wasn't hacked. You played in a lobby where people were doing things to modify gameplay. Cheating,hacking modding Call it what you will. My guess is in this lobby your "profile" or your whole teams
"profiles" on COD was targeted to lose vast amounts of Xp. By profile I mean your data that is tied to you on the COD servers. Modded Lobbies can be tricky to spot if you notice behavior in the game that doesn't seem Legit just get out of there. People not
dying when they clearly should, soaring through the air, teleporting or Ice skating and the list could go on and on. Its ideal to just play with people you know if at all possible.

 

Ok .. Thank you so much for that explanation ... My son is 13 and didn't know about these kinds of rooms ... He now knows what to look for ... And what to stay away from .... Shame people have to do stuff like that .. Takes the fun out of playing the
game ... He was bummed at first but now looks at it as a challenge to get back to where he was .... Again thank you for all of your help

 

Soccer, when you get de-ranked, it is usually by hundreds of thousands of points. Most likely you will never be able to gain enough XP to play normally again. The only way I know that you can get re-ranked, is also by being in a modded game, which of course,
is against the rules. I do seem to remember some other way to fix this though, and will look into it for you. In the mean time, I would get in touch with the game developer and tell them what happened. They may have come up with a fix and that might be what
I am remembering.

 

Ok, in checking on this, the only fix is way, way, way, against the rules, so I will not mention it here. Oh, and I guess its more like 2 billion negative points, so trying to fix that by just playing is almost impossible.
