    Wondering if ur game will update on external?


    My set up I have 3 ext. HD's (WD My books) running on my xbox 1. For my games 5tb, one for my vids 5tb, one that has all my music from the early 80's til now 2tb.

    If you are wondering if the games you have will update, they will regardless if they are on ext. hard drive (HD) OR INTERNAL.

    very large games and new games from a set date will always go to my external. I have not had a problem with the updating of said games yet.

    after plugging ur ext. HD to the xbox 1/1s and it recognise it u will have to format it so u can install games and recieve ur updates on there. I find that it takes less time to move ur games from ur internal to the external HD than it does to watch a
    movie. it only took my xbox 1 26 min to move 42 games around to my 5tb EHD. make sure that u set xbox to install all new content to the EHD to manage externals and the internal hard drive goto all settings->sys-> storage it will list them there and then you
    can press the start button it will bring a dropdown click manage hard drive. This way you do same to move a game but besure to move all the content for that game to same location.

    USB UPDATE IS ONLINE!!!

    Looks like game external storage is not allowed, but can still read files. I guess the update to allow external storage is not that big of a leap, I am thinking that's a good thing :) wonder if mp3 will work from a stick.

    The best way to fix this is throw ur xbox and get a playstation. I havent played xbox in 5 months then i go home ready to play live and i get this friggin status code. I tried EVERY thing. Dont clear ur chache because it deletes ur updates on everything
    and if u cant update ur console then u cant update ur games. Everything is wrong with my xbox. Need new disc drive, update failed i wouldnt be suprised if it blew up.
